WHO radio's Jan Mickelson is discussing the reaction he's had to yesterday's dust-up between Ron Paul HQ's Kent Snyder and Ed Failor.

Play by play, please, for those of us (okay, ME) on dial up!

What's he saying?:)

I'm on hold trying to get in. A guy from KY called in. Now a guy from Iowa is talking. Hope I get on.

Digg finally made a submission on this matter popular, in US Elections 2008.

The only thing I want to know is this: were Paul supporters painted in a negative light?

Podcast?

The callers were only OK but the intro remarks from Jan Mickelson were great.

He says that people underestimate the passion and number of Ron Paul supporters and that RP has more clout than you imagine. He said Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance are taking it on the chin. WHO got hundreds of calls/emails and their server almost crashed with people trying to download the podcast. Server was overwhelmed and slow and it took WHO 4 hours just to post it.

Jan said he wanted to let people know about this reaction but doesn't know the status of thing. He said the ripple effect of this decision in Iowa is being felt all over the world - and he doesn't know if that's making us look good here in Iowa, to be honest.

Then callers. First from Kentucky. Then Iowa City. I get blurry here because I was on the phone but the calls were just OK - maybe I was just anxious to say what I had to say. Most were supportive but I think there was too much focus on minutia.

I sure do like this Jan Mickelson! Man, if Ron could get on the same day, or the day after the forum, on his show for an extended interview...wouldn't that just be great? Probably MUCH more of an impact than if he attended the forum.

I was on hold to.

I wanted to mention that I stopped into the office and the very least, 6 people from Davenport called Mr Failor. The guy obviously lied in the interview about support from Iowa itself.

there was a guy leaving bad comments about Ron Paul at the Register Iowa website by the screen name kenrichards.iowa. This guys is the last caller that you heard on WHO talking about Ron Paul. All his talking points about Ron are the same he posted on the Register. Good think the host kinda stood up for Ron Paul. you can read the comments being made here.

I hope this "ripple" turns into a tidal wave. That's what we need.

Mickelson sounds like a great guy!

Did you guys see this comment from a Ken Richards on the Des Moines Register article:

Dr. Alan Keyes represented all those things in 2000 and actually had a credible campaign where hundreds of people regularly showed up at his rallies. He still lost but he was light years ahead of Dr. Ron Paul and Ron Paul is light years ahead of the others not allowed to debate. This is not about the smartest guy in the room it is about who has a real organization with real people who vote rather than a few bloggers. If Ron Paul is for real he could produce 1000 people at a DSM Rally to protest his exclusion. Something tells me that would turn a few heads.

Sounds like a dare to me. How about you?
