The NH poll isn't as bad as Paul has a higher percentage of the vote and a higher position. Plus, it shows less evangelical and less tea party people.

Yes, apparently Sarah Palin amazingly beats Paul in Iowa. Oh well, theres a movie called Iron Sky which features an un-named president that parodies Sarah Palin. The movie is set in the year of 2018.

Sarah Palin has nearly 3.5 million Facebook likes compared to Rand Paul's 180,000 thousand likes...

Rick Santorum at the top makes sense. He spent a lot of time in Iowa -- hit every county, right? -- and did well in the January vote. He had a chance to make a personal connection with voters and that counts for a lot with the average person. The issues voters will do their own research and find the candidate that best matches their views. The rest will just go with the guy they like the most (barring disagreement on core social issues). This is how elections work. We should all know this by now.

I honestly believe the 2016 election will be between Rand Paul vs. Elizabeth Warren.

Man, it is already bad enough that she is still even around. Though I would like to see Rand send her home crying in a debate.

I think both parties swing extreme in the coming 4 years. Not saying Rand is extreme to everyone here, but to the average voter that would be a big step for them. A step in the right direction I might add.

This is the unfortunate trend I have been noticing as well, the increasing extremism on both sides in certain aspects.

Of course not. As an RPFer, you're probably an issues voter. You won't wait for TV ads or a knock on the door to learn about the candidates. You will know that an election is coming and figure out who's running and who the liberty candidate is (if there is one). But most people don't really do that. Disappointing, I know, but that's really the way it works. Now then, some names are loaded. I wouldn't expect "Sammy Stalin" to do well even though the name is very recognizable. Just as if "Tide" caused skin problems for 200,000 people due to a bad batch, people wouldn't buy it (or buy less of it). But all things being equal, name recognition and personal contact (being likeable), will win most elections.

Does anybody count the possibility of a Bloomberg run?

Who cares what a stupid poll says from 4 years from now.

It's completely meaningly and only takes a snap shot of the Republican party primary voters from May 10th earlier this year.

Listen, unless GJ gets some momentum or the Left stages some false flag attack to cause Americans to rally around Obama, Mitt will win the election come this November. Obama on his own has no prayer of winning - economy sucks and undecideds always fall against the incumbent. The mood of the country is very anti-Obama and his numbers have tanked. Obama's support is not nearly as strong as it was in 2008 among women, youth or the Unions. Mitt will then be the nominee in 2016.
