The Federal government has become little more than a brokerage house where the wealth and freedoms of the people are sold to the highest bidding special interest group. The political process is simply a contest to determine which of the nearly identical teams will get to control the system that enriches the banks, unions, military contractors, and other crony-capitalists and parasites.
Not suprisingly, the mainstream political parties do not challenge the system that gives politicians and their controlling interests their power and wealth. They LIKE the system as it is. So political "debate" consists entirely of fiercely contested trivialities and character attacks. No mainstream candidate attacks the system even when the other party controls it because they want the system intact when THEY get a turn at the wheel. This is also why both parties ignore the Constitution. Neither one likes the limits it places on their system.
Now enter the liberty movement. Liberty candidates don't like the system of largesse. They want to change it. They want to restore the Constitutional restraints that will gut the system of largesse. When true Constitutionalists and champions of liberty threaten to take over one of the political parties, it is a WORSE threat to the party than the threat of losing the election.
When the opposing party takes over the government, they will favor their own special interests for awhile, but they will leave the system intact so when the government changes hands the scam will still be in placeand the new "leaders" can have a turn feathering the beds of THEIR favored interests. On the other hand, when true Constitutionalists and liberty advocates take over the government, they will dismantle the system of corruption.
This is why the Republicans are willing to alienate us even if it means they lose to the Democrats. Their first choice is, of course, for Republicans as currently constituted to hold the reigns of power. But their second choice is for the Democrats as currently constituted to hold power. Their LAST choice is for anyone to hold power who will undermine the system of largess. That means you and me and our candidates.
So as we continue to move forward in the liberty movement, do not be surprised when the Republican establishment treats you like a mortal enemy. Because you are. You are the mortal enemy of the corruption and tyranny that is their way of life. But you are the friend of truth, liberty, and your countrymen.
