Every day or at least every other day, I want to add detailed instructions and information on becoming a delegate for one state. If a state does not have enough information online on how to become a delegate (probably the case most of the time) then I will call the state GOP office and get that information. If I were to do this alone the primaries would be over by the time I finished. Please PM me if you will help me with this by getting the information on one or more states.

Here is a link concerning NC GOP delegates.

I hope it helps. I'm going to learn more about this process, and pass it along to my Meetup group.

1. Go to your local GOP meetings and volunteer to help out with whatever they need.

2. Fill the local vacant positions.

3. File the proper documentation to become delegates. ($125.00 where I am)

How am I doing so far?

RE: "Here is someone else that seems to be doing a lot of work there: http://www3.webng.com/ronpaul/becomedelegate.html"

Very good link, thanks! That website does not lay out the entire process in a simple step-by-step way for each state. Thats what I want to do. Using the links from the website I should be able to write out the instructions for quite a lot of states.

That site urges fraud and illegal behavior and is an irritant to the organizers across the country. The information is just factually wrong. Case in point, in my hometown it urges everyone to contact their county GOP for the information on the caucus but it is a primary state with no caucus and no elections are organized at the county level that way. That guy's site has been debated and debunked extensively.

James, go to the primary and caucus section for each state. Email the legal counsel of the state GOP and ask them to update the information. Remind them of RNC by-law 14(a) (http://www.gop.com/About/AboutRead.aspx?AboutType=4&Section=16):

RULE NO. 14
Participation
(a) The Republican National Committee shall assist the states in their efforts to inform all citizens as to how they may participate in delegate selection procedures. The states, in cooperation with the Republican National Committee, shall prepare instructive material on delegate selection methods and make it available for distribution.

Greetings,

I am very interested in becoming a delegate, and I would like complete and up-to-date information regarding the entire process. Preferably, I would like detailed information that includes the steps necessary to become a delegate at the precinct, county, district, state, and national level. I would like to thank you in advance for your time and for fulfilling your duty as described in RNC by-law 14(a) (http://www.gop.com/About/AboutRead.aspx?AboutType=4&Section=16).

Sincerely,
...How's that?
