View Full Version : Ron Paul to be on Mancow

Dave

The calendar from HQ shows that Dr. Paul will be a guest on "Mancow in the Morning" on Tuesday. Mancow is a Chicago shock jock whose show is broadcast in several cities around the country - it used to be on in Des Moines but it looks like it has been dropped here.

He can be pretty obnoxious and graphic but he's big on freedom and limited government so I think he'll be good to the Dr.

The last time I listened I remember him being pro-war.

Oh God, not Mancow. His interview of Badnarik was horrible.

Mancow's show is not available in Florida where I live; the only time I have ever seen the guy is on Hannity's show , and that is probably bad news right there.

Like every other supposedly "conservative" talk show host, I'm guessing Mancow is a pro-war neo-con.

But, Ron Paul is an extremely intelligent man, I doubt things could go that badly. I think it will be key for RP supporters to call in.

Mancow is the most annoying show in all of radio.

Mancow may no longer be a neocon, as many of us paul supporters are also former neocons. Recently mancow has even appeared on the christian network "tbn" apparently -- a recent convert to christianity. He has usually been pretty even in his political criticism of politicians - regardless of the war on terror that he supports.

Perhaps, but Mancow is likely still a stupid prick.

Mancow is definitely a shock jock, and he can be offensive, but he does have some conservative beliefs and he has a big audience and some people may get to hear Ron Paul for the first time, it could be good exposure.

In South Florida he's available on 640 AM in the morning, it's not a perfect signal but it comes in pretty decent.

From what I remember, ManCow is a big buddy of Hannity.

Oh, this makes me nervous for Dr. Paul.

I remember listening to his show about 10 years ago... I stopped when they made their own napalm and destroyed a truck with it.

Mancow does suck, but if it is the choice between Ron Paul having nothing to do at that time, and him going on Mancow, I'd like to see him go on Mancow. Ron Paul is so good that any exposure is good exposure, no matter how bad the host.

I remember seeing Mancow on Fox, he was talking about the War on "Terror" . They asked since he liked Bush did he vote for him. He said "no I voted for some Libertarian guy but I can't remember his name". So he's supposedly Libertarian, which if he is, even if he's pro-war he'll agree with RP on alot.

Last time I listened to mancow was about 2 months ago and they were still ranting on about how the world changed after 9/11 and being anti-war is dumb and all this crap. I'm a little worried about this interview! heh

I have a feeling it'll be like the Dennis Miller interview. Perhaps with some more hijinks though.

So when is this all supposed to go down? Is there a time slot for Ron?

I'll occasionally listen to Mancow on the way to work, but I just don't get the show. I've never heard any political opinion. It sounds like it's supposed to be a humorous morning show, but it's more confusing than funny. The most I've ever heard him interview someone was three or four minutes, and then he would go back to talking about lame movie trivia.

three times and he loves me and uses me to launch into vicious tirades against the federal government's war on drugs, the income tax and the IRS, the DEA, NSA, etc.

I think he'll love Dr. Paul, meaning he will let Ron Paul deliver his message alternating with the egomania of the host Mancow, which is the orientation of these types of shows.

MANCOW is the second highest rated show in America of its kind, after Howard Stern and up to recently Don Imus, so he may have the highest audience of all these days.

It will help Dr. Paul's decent message to be heard by an unfamiliar audience. I am hoping Mancow will become a fan like Bill Maher and Stephen Colbert have, and will continue plugging Dr. Paul in future shows.

The one thing about Paul that I love is his many years of public speaking. I think Paul thrives in tight spots, If given the chance to speak I can't think of an interviewer that could intimidate the good Dr.. Hannity was the worst and he had to shoot him down because he could not use logic against such an informed man. Then look how he handled Rudy. I love seeing Paul attacked in fact I look forward to it.

In case you don't wanna listen to the whole 3+ hour show ;) , I edited it down to just the interview here: http://www.tjhsst.edu/~dfriedhe/ron_paul_mancow.mp3

But please, someone with a real website and some bandwidth copy this over to their site. I don't wanna destroy my old high school's servers if too many people try to listen at once :) .

Just listened to the interview, and I think it went extremely well! It seems that he couldn't even debate Ron on the Iraq war and he agreed that people are giving away their civil liberties because of it. Very nice.

Well, if he is as approving of what Romney is saying as he was of what Paul is saying then he's only being smarmy. Hopefully that isn't the case, but if it is then I hope his audience can see through it.
