So I was watching the live stream of the Paul Festival most of the afternoon and I noticed that a lot of the seats were empty. I wasn't alone in noticing this either. This made me wonder how many tickets were actually sold.

This media is starting to notice the lack of crowds too.

TAMPA, Fla. — The first day of Paul Festival, a three-day celebration of Ron Paul and the movement he led, kicked off Friday with a sparsely attended gathering in the cavernous hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Organizers had initially hoped 40,000 would attend the three-day event, but are now hoping for 5,000, attributing the smaller numbers to Paul throwing his own rally on Sunday and the possibility of inclement weather.

What do you expect? The wind has been sucked from the sails for so long that many of us are done.

Not that I think it's a big deal, but there are a lot of people who did:

Where's Gage? Gage was the first to accurately guess a number of 3-5K. That's where I was on the numbers, but Gage jumped to that number quickly, when they were still saying things like "worst case scenario 50K" but more a Woodstock 500K. Whatever, all good, the people there, from here, are meeting other people there, from here. And that's good. That's what the whole point was supposed to be. It's good that the bands aren't famous, because famous bands bring the wrong type of people, etc etc, and you get what you get under those circumstances.

Hurricane Issac has a lot to do with this.

This is why you don't hype up that you will have 100,000 to begin with, as some person did to media early on, based on nothing in particular.

And with Ron not speaking there it is pretty much about seeing eachother, which is still good, but not as likely as the rally to draw big crowds.

If Ron Paul will declare a third party run, they will get over a million.

Gage actually predicted 500 million attendees. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?379097-US-News-Ron-Paul-Festival-Could-Bring-500-MILLION-Supporters-to-GOP-Convention-quot-ZOMGG

Check out this live link while you throw a few things in a bag (Camera).

It sounds great and I'm thinking it is pretty late.

I wish I was a little closer. This is good. Plus you've got the storm thing for a little extra something to share.

Yeah. I'd think it would pick up closer to when Ron is there, for people who couldn't be there that long.
