I mean candidates, if elected, don't even follow their own platform completely. Why would they follow the GOP platform or care about it?

Does it make any difference at all?

I do like that we have voices in the platform committee, but it's disheartening to see pro-liberty amendments shot down, one after another. We haven't taken over enough of the GOP.

Yes, it does make a difference. Even though we don't follow the Constitution, imagine how much worse it would be if it were not there. Same goes for the platform. Its much more conservative than the typical republican politician, however, it does give us a bit of fire to hold their feet to -- at least in some small way.

No. It didn't matter in 1936, and it doesn't matter today.

1936 GOP Platform lost in a landslide.

The platform is a cruel joke on those who think it is meaningful or binding in any way.
