Here's an update on the Oregon delegate contest.

11 alternates delegates contested on their own behalf, and the Ron Paul campaign legal contested on behalf of 21 alternate delegates. The paperwork and legal and changing rules and cheating made this SO hard to do, but with help, we did it! Some friends and I were able to help with the individual contests listed here: http://www.ordelegates2012.org/resources/credentials-contest/

Here is the Ron Paul campaign contest, my friends and I and all the delegates also helped them gather evidence and affidavits when they asked for our help.
http://www.ordelegates2012.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Or...

The RNC committee on contests proceeded to consolidate the contests (to hide the face that our individual challenges were not responded to perhaps?). Then they made a recommendation to the RNC on the side of the establishment, Oregon Republican Party chair Allen Alley, quoting his stance and affidavit http://www.ordelegates2012.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Re... in their 'report' (instead of any relevant rules). http://www.ordelegates2012.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/RN...

10 alternates objected to the consolidation and to the report, and also the Ron Paul campaign legal objected. (documents/objections will be uploaded soon)

The RNC (over our objections) consolidated all of the Oregon contests. There was a hearing over the objection to report was yesterday - RP campaign lawyer defended the Oregon alternates. He sent us an email saying it went pretty well (if it was a court of law, it would be in the bag). BUT ITS NOT A COURT CASE, the RNC itself will decide!

Next steps:
1. a revised report from the committee on contests to the RNC
2. a vote by the members of the RNC
3. if that doesn't go our way, a final contest with the Credentialing Committee.

this all happens this week, so PLEASE HELP US

Things you can do: contact your National Committeeman/Committeewoman. They are members of the RNC who get to vote during the next stage ! Demand that they support the duly elected Oregon alternates, not Allen Alley's appointed friends & cronies.

Here are more details of the Oregon Alternate Delegates contest. http://www.ordelegates2012.org/resources/credentials-contest/ and http://www.ordelegates2012.org

thanks everyone!

Do you mean those of us who are not delegates should contact our state committeewoman/man?

folks this is super important with all the side deals being cut. If they control the delegation THEY will say if a vote for nomination 'is supported' and do we think it will be accurate after everything that happened at that convention?

"Do you mean those of us who are not delegates should contact our state committeewoman/man?"

Yes please, I am asking everyone who supports Ron Paul to call & text & email & facebook msg & tweet your State GOP National committeeman / committeewoman today/tomorrow and speak to them on our behalf, they sit on the RNC and will be making this decision (on Thursday this week, I think?). If you know anyone on the RNC credentialing committee, please contact them also.

The short story is that ORP chairman Allen Alley conspired to steal alternate delegate spots that Ron Paul supporters won fair and square in Oregon. After Alley saw that the establishment was losing, he stalled the conventions and then invented a 'joint convention' theory, and claimed authority he does not have by any bylaws to force the Oregon district conventions to adjourn at an arbitrary 5pm (for the first time in history of Oregon conventions). He then proceeds to hold a meeting for which no proper notice was given, at which he and his executive board overthrow the vote of Oregon's elected precinct committee people and appoint Alley's friends, like Kevin Mannix and Greg Leo, who LOST the PCP vote at the conventions, as alternates. Then, Alley proceeded to email insults and libel about the elected alternate delegates to the entire Oregon central committee (hundreds of community leaders), accusing them of Occupy & George Soros ties (completely false).

Please ask your committeeman/woman to DEMAND that Oregon's duly elected alternates be seated, instead of Alley's appointed alternates

the full details of the contest including all documents and evidence is linked from my original post

Would you suggest we send video (of OR shenanigans) as some testimony to our state committeeman/woman? Is there some preferred draft of testimony we can use?

^^ THIS ^^

And a good short explaination of what happened from witnesses that go along with the video, would be helpful. Such as what led up to the video and the results after getting back inside, Rules broken, etc...

We can package that to send with our own pleas and send to our committeeman/woman in emails.

Our plea could be for the sake of the reputation of the GOP, etc..

here are your bullet points from Steve Winokur's affidavit, he is the gentleman in the black suit in that video mentioned above.

http://www.ordelegates2012.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Appendix/40-winokur-affidavit.pdf

To explain how this fits with the video, which was taken at CD4

1. Ron Paul delegate slate (made up mostly of RP delegates) swept the morning elections at all of the CD conventions (CD & at-large)
2. when it got to be 5pm, the chairman of the Oregon Republican Party tried to assert that he has unlimited king-like authority to adjourn the state conventions, because he wanted to end before the alternates are elected. that would let his executive board appoint them, if we fell for it
3. but, we didn't fall for it. the elected precinct committee people knew that the state chairman does not have this power, so they made and carried a motion to continue until all business was completed
4. just after that, the lady in the video (Terri Moffett) tried to leave with the ballots for the alternate votes, allegedly under instructions from chairman Allen Alley
5. as seen in the video, we go outside to politely stop her and watch until the ballots are returned
6. the room cheers, and we go ahead and vote for our alternate CD and at-large delegates. 4 of the other 5 Congressional district conventions do the same. (unfortunately, one of the CDs did not do enough homework I guess, and fell for the trick :( )
7. one week later, State chairman Allen Alley declares anything done after 5pm 'null' and has a special unauthorized executive board meeting, at which he appoints friends to all the alternate positions, completely ignoring the results of the valid CD voting!
8. Allen Alley immediately breaks the rules again by allowing alternates to vote for the delegation chair & platform committee spots. He uses his national committee man/woman and his ringer appointed alternates to 'elect' himself chair of the delegation, and to place all of his friends in all the meaningful committees.

Now, the appointed friends list is disgusting, including: Ourania Yue, wife of National Committeeman and Executive Committee member Solomon Yue; Jeff Grossman, executive committee member; Lauri S. Hein, in a relationship with Jeff Grossman; Loren Later, executive committee member; Elisa Later, wife of Loren Later; Lisa Walker, wife of FreedomWorks Vice-President Russ Walker whose delegate election is contested; Lindsay Berschauer, running for state representative in House District 26 and worked for the Oregon Transformation Project chaired by Allen Alley; Rob Kremer, ORP treasurer; Andrew Miller, CEO of Oregon Transformation Project, chaired by Allen Alley; Tim Nashif, Oregon Family Council co-founder; and Kevin L. Mannix, who ran for Oregon governor in 2002 and 2006 and Congress in 2008.

Loren and Elisa Later were disgusted enough to announce their resignation from the delegation at the first Lane Co Executive Board meeting held after they were appointed.

I'm sorry it is really hard to put this all in a short summary, maybe someone can do a better job that I am at it.

all the good stuff is in the statement of position, we have 11 that are similar
http://www.ordelegates2012.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/CONTEST_ALLISON.pdf

here is the summary from Allison L. Scott's statement of position (what the Oregon Republican Party did wrong):

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Point 1: The Oregon Republican Party [hereinafter “ORP”] through its representatives engaged
in multiple forms of unlawful and ultra vires conduct designed to facilitate the appointment of
political favorites, insiders and cronies as credentialed delegates to the 2012 Republican National
Convention in place of individuals selected by duly-credentialed party members according to
governing rules. That unlawful and ultra vires conduct included:

a. providing deliberate misinformation to credentialed delegates attending duly-convened
and lawful Congressional District Conventions in order to prevent those credentialed
delegates from casting lawful and required ballots according to governing rules;

b. engaging in reprehensible conduct designed to prevent credentialed delegates attending
duly-convened and lawful Congressional District Conventions from physically casting
lawful and required ballots according to governing rules; and

c. disregarding the ballots for certain delegate positions duly cast by credentialed delegates
attending duly-convened and lawful Congressional District Conventions according to
governing rules.

2. As a result of the misconduct and ultra vires behavior by ORP officials, certain Oregon
alternative delegates to the 2012 Republican National Convention were credentialed and
certified who were not, in fact, selected according to governing law and rules; one of the
alternate delegates who was not selected according to governing law and rules is Jeff
Grossman.

3. One of the alternate delegates who was selected according to governing law and rules is
Allison L. Scott. For that reason, I directly challenge Jeff Grossman and demand that the
disputed alternate delegate position be credentialed in my name.

That list is old, some of the nat'l comm folk have changed since this list was made. I'm not sure about any state but MI but we ousted our 2 past comm members and replaced them w/ Dave Agema and Terri Lynn Land. I've emailed both of them with this pertinent info.

link to objection filed by Ron Paul campaign (on behalf of 21 out of 25 of the Oregon alternates, this is a group contest): http://www.getlibertynow.org/tampa/Oregon%20Notice%20of%20Objection.pdf

and, a more strongly worded objection filed by a number of the alternates on their own behalf (personal contests): https://dl.dropbox.com/u/95122650/objections/OBJECTION_TO%20REPORT_AND_RECOMMENDATION_PERSONAL. pdf

well shoot, according to both the RNC website: http://mi.gop.com/StatesMapPage.aspx? , and the WI GOP website http://www.migop.org/index.php/about/party-leadership/, it is currently Saul Anuzis and Holly June Hughes

Is it possible that the newly elected national committeeman/woman in MI take office after the national convention? In many states that is how it works. Are you sure that Dave & Terri are actual voting members of the RNC right now?

Or else, perhaps the RNC records are out of date (I would not be too surprised).

Is that a hint? front page it is.

Since they just changed the rules to require nominations be in writing it is important even if your 'leader' won't put it in that the individual delegates write up a nomination and sign by the needed majority which I believe you have. When you give it to your leader you could also give it to media and to us, in case we don't stop their plan.

You know that feeling you get when you're playing a game with a friend or family member... At first it was fun... but they're cheating... and its obvious, played out, no longer funny... you're over it. About to chuck the cards...
