Make your own Ron Paul banners in minutes that show dynamic text such as the number of subscribers. (http://www.therobert.org/rp/bm/) For example, you could take a banner you like, make some empty space, and fill that empty space with "$TPS people already joined us!", where $TPS gets replaced by how many pledges there are for TeaParty07 no matter where on the web you place the image.

If you guys want, I can add more "variables" that you can put in the image text (besides just the number of TeaParty07 subscribers and viewers). For example, I could add in the number of forum members, and then you could make RPF ads that said something like "$TPS people are part of the movement! Will you be?"

I made a thread about this earlier, but for some reason, no one is commenting on it and it seems like no one is interested in general, so I decided to try a different topic title, because I definitely think this could be something neat (not to mention I spent my Saturday on it).

EDIT: Here's HTML code once you have an image URL:

<a href="http://teaparty07.com" title="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" target="_new"><img src="THE BANNER URL GOES HERE" border="0" alt="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" title="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" /></a>

Make sure to replace THE BANNER URL GOES HERE with the url.

EDIT2: Here's some sample banners made with this nifty tool.

Notice how they show the number of subscribers to TeaParty07.com? Go to TeaParty07.com and look how many people have pledged. Then look at these banners below. Notice it's the same number? That's because these banners update the same time TeaParty07.com updates.

Bumpin' 'ya Rob - I think your idea is worth more than a million. :)

For those who are technically-challenged, ignor this thread, but for those who are webmasters or those who can figure out how to use Rob's banners (it's pretty simply, really), this idea will take the TeaParty07.com site to VIRAL levels.

Rob - check your original post on this.

It looks like the forum software is truncating the code links, which may be confusing people and creating errors if they try to simply copy that text. They need to get the entire link, not the truncated version.

Thanks.

Can these banners also be hot linked so one can click on them to go wherever one wants them to go. All I know is what I learned on hot linked gif's that can be easilly copied and pasted into emails. Hey

Am I able to put these on my MYSPACE page??

I'm far from techie!!!

Thanks

Sure. The URL for each image is shown right below it. Replace BANNERURL in this HTML code and put it on your MySpace:

<a href="http://teaparty07.com" title="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" target="_new"><img src="BANNERURL" border="0" alt="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" title="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" /></a>

For example, for this banner:

(728x90)
http://www.therobert.org/rp/banners2/f/banner3_728_90.png
http://www.therobert.org/rp/banners2/f/banner3_728_90.png

You would take the URL

http://www.therobert.org/rp/banners2/f/banner3_728_90.png

And put it into the code like this:

<a href="http://teaparty07.com" title="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" target="_new"><img src="http://www.therobert.org/rp/banners2/f/banner3_728_90.png" border="0" alt="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" title="Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul Mass Donation Day" /></a>

And just copy and paste that onto your MySpace.

This is really cool. I wonder, what about some flash ads? They get a lot more attention. We have some really cool graphics here, if anyone is good with flash we culd make some really eye-catching stuff. Look at the ads on all the larger websites on the net, they're mostly flash now. With flash we can also have a count down or a dynamic counter that increases the number of subscribers in real-time (or mimicked real-time)

Yes. Go to

And copy paste the following:

Ron <img src="http://www.therobert.org/rp/bm/banners/11"> Paul

Except replace that banner URL with the one you want, of course, like:

http://www.therobert.org/rp/bm/banners/13

Or one of the other ones in my third post in this topic.

Then put your mouse at "Ron", hold your mouse down, and drag it to "Paul" so it selects the image. Press ctrl+C to copy, go into the e-mail editor, and hit ctrl+V to paste. Remove the "Ron" and "Paul" from the beginning and the end, and you've got the banner ad in the e-mail.

LOL never thought of it that way...it signals defeat in the UFC. If Dec 16th is as huge as expected other campaigns will tapout due to lack of funds.

Ok when I go to this site to preview my html code http://therobert.org/stuff/tools/htmlpreview.htm

I enter in these two banners hosted at different sites. Both are sized to be 468 X 60, but the bottom banner has blank space on the sides....what gives? The box it correct size but the actual image doesn't fill it. Any insight?

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://www.swfup.com/uploads/swf-60263.swf" width="468" height="60" class="file_border">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.swfup.com/uploads/swf-60263.swf" />

Bump. I was going to do more with this thing, but I don't think it would've been an efficient use of my time.
