I don't think he looks crazy there, I think they were going with the 'party' theme....

But with Politico you never know. No love lost, definitely.

the vey last paragraph goes into how fiscally stable and not in debt the campaign is right now.
they talked about gingrich & santorum running up red ink and how ron paul is still in the running.

As a voter wouldn't you want the guy who never went into debt to run in your corner? Fucking idiots.

The Texas congressman’s solid finances stand in stark contrast to those of also-ran Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, both of whom have reported seven-figure debt.

The picture is intentionally vertically distorted making Ron look like some crazy cult leader.

Newt and Rick both are 7 FIGURES in debt. That's a ton of debt. And Newt had Adelson dumping huge amounts of money into his PAC. Paul's campaign never takes on debt and always has money to spend. That's a good talking point today.

Remember, PACs and campaigns are legally separate. Adelson could only send $2,500 directly to Newt (so could his PAC, I suppose).

Ron Paul is an irresponsible, hate-filled, nasty, nutzoid, old kook! He does all he can to undermine the Republican candidates.
For him to pretend to be a Republican is a travesty. He knows nothing about being a Republican. Running as a latter-day Harold Stassen, he is willing to do or say anything to get more grubby money into his bank account.
Greedy old fool! The people who worship him need their heads examined.

Ooooo, ice buurrrn! I lol'd

I think the poster meant that Adelson was running all the campaign commercials, attack ads, etc, so Newt's official campaign should've been able to save money in that regard, but didn't.

Yeah that's what I meant. Adelson spent something like $50 million on Newt's behalf, yet Newt still ended up 7 figures in debt. That's disgusting.

You're assuming Republicans are actually fiscally conservative i.e. limited government with a sane budget that is in the black. They are NOT!

Shows how, even at this late stage, Mitt agents are still trying to purge Paul and Paulians out from the mainstream.
