My mother had a garage sale when she sold her house and it was going on for about a week, then the police showed up and shut her down. I often wonder how people are supposed to liquidate their belongings when they retire and sell their homes to move into an apartment.

Sometimes I think it's a matter of paying off the right people (buying a permit) so you can do business.

I hope someone gets a livestream or other video of this. It should be interesting.

Well, back in the early 50's, I thought I would go into business selling candy to my brother and sister. I went down to the neighborhood store and bought a nickels worth of two for a penny candy, went home and sold it to my brother and sister for a penny each. I was doing well as I had doubled my money, so I went down to the store again (a block away) and bought a dimes worth of the same candy. I again sold that candy to my brother and sister and now had twenty cents. Thinking I was doing a good job and my business was booming, I again went down to the store to buy more candy, only to be told by the person at the cash register, I had bought enough and they wouldn't sell anymore to me.

I learned at an early age, it's tough to do business.
