Because it would have united the party and brought in the 5 million RP supporters.

There are only 5 million of us? Really?

JUDGE NEEDS HELP...

Instead of always Isolating it to one group... the Judge should of said, Rand Paul as VEEP would of brought in Independents, Blue Dog Democrats, Constitutionalists, Libertarians, Conservatives, Rights activsts, Peace advocates, etc. Millions upon millions would support.

United we win, isolated, divided, and catagorized, we lose... that's exactly what government and the fasco-corporate oppressors, like Main Stream Media work hard at doing.

Not me. I don't want Rand anywhere near those Welfare-Warfare-Police Statist neo-Trots. He and Ryan losing is essential to the liberty movement. The neocons MUST be repudiated. Giving them a win would make them stronger, and the liberty movement weaker.

It's too bad but Rand doesn't seem to draws the Is, Ds, etc. that Ron does.

For once, I have to disagree with the judge. I think a large number of Ron Paul supporters would have had a very hard time bringing themselves to vote for a Romney/Rand Paul ticket.

I agree - but perhaps half of us would have.

And Jim Grant as Fed Chair, then you could win some over.

I would support/prefer the ticket over the current ticket, but I wouldn't vote for it. But if Romney won I would be much happier with Rand as VP than Paul (Ryan).

why not a party platform out of tampa with 20 to 30 great planks ron paul could run on himself
and a GOP ticket trying to achieve 90% party unity via the platform? rand can now be objective.
had he been chosen each time mitt made a gaffe, rand would be inflicted with the mass media.

I agree too, but not this half, I wouldn't vote for Romney if Jesus was his VP.

Judge was probably just reminding them that they'll need us. I dont think he really believes a Romney/Paul ticket would be any good.

But I wouldn't have voted for Mitt even if he'd have picked Rand...

Maybe I would have voted for Mitt if Rand was VP and if there was some way to promise Grant as Fed Chairman, Judge Nap as Attorney General, Ron Paul as treasury sec, Scheuer as CIA director etc. :)

Yet only 2 million voted for Ron Paul. Most of those voters are not hardcore. I am willing to bet they will vote for Romney simply because he is the anti-Obama vote.

I'm hoping that Romney's VP will go the same route as McCains VP did. Palin was destroyed and knew she couldn't even think about running in 2012.
