The Library of Congress has an exhibit running through September called "Books that Shaped America". You can access it via loc.gov. There are 88 books in various categories. At the end, you have the option of suggesting books you think should be included... They have a cut off of published before 2002.
BookTV (C-SPAN weekend program) is doing a followup show on this and wants viewers to e-mail them at booktv@c-span.org to participate in a followup show about what books should be included.
This is kinda like a poll, but different. You know what to do...
