Folks, the haters on DP have been hammering the organizers on a consistent basis and unfortunately, they have an audience over there, whereas you all have done a damned good job of running them off.

Michael has been kind enough to promote our commemorative dimes and we need your help supporting our efforts by posting on the thread. http://www.dailypaul.com/247073/paul-festival-commemorative-dime-cards-fundraiser#new

Everyone who shows support for us, gets downvoted, and everyone who insults us gets upvoted. I wouldn't care normally, but the analytics shows that most of our traffic comes from DP, so if all they're seeing is negativity and we don't start trying to quell it, it will hurt the success of this event. The damage that has already been done by the haters (those we kicked out) has hurt us tremendously. We're down to the wire now, and we need everyone who supports us to help us fight these creeps off.

Wow, really?
There's a lot of crap going on over there at DP on that thread.
I upvoted the possitive stuff. I normally don't hang out there, but I do have an account, so I did what I could, no comment added from me there though.

I tried, Deb, but I don't remember my password and it won't let me change it, nor will it let me setup a new account.

DailyPaul is a bit of a jungle right now. Hey check that thread and see if there are any comments. If not, looks like someone deleted all the comments.

Yeah it looks like it. There were apparently 48 posts there. Apparently there's a fairly strong contingent of anti Paul Fest people there. I don't really understand how they have dailypaul organized, couldn't find many paul fest threads.

What they seem to find annoying is the constant barrage of paul fest material.

I don't understand how you could be anti Paul Fest and also be a libertarian... What the heck are they worried about? Mind blowing stupidity...

Well, specific people seem to have specific complaints.

Also: On dailypaul any activity, action or plan is receiving hostile comments. RPF have/had those too but they are not that numerous and are somewhat "neutralized" by other posters and moderators when they cross the line.

P.s.
When I asked why is dailypaul asking money I got answer that dailypaul expenses are above 25,000 dollars (payed moderators, hosting etc.). They keep as much people as they can.... even if those people are not offering anything constructive or are against anyone and everything.

I also upvoted it, but I didn't see much hostility from the comments, just a lack of excitement. People are bummed out over the results of the campaign, more than any thing else, that's all. Plus there are substantive disagreements expressed over organizers not taking feedback, or the wisdom of having certain guests there (Gary Johnson and LP speakers) while Paul delegates technically are still vying to win over Republicans at the GOP nomination. Below are sample threads, see for yourself:

There's a lot of anti-paul fest people here to, but we were all ridiculed and told to shut up, so we did. Deb, you can't control public consensus. If people don't like it they are going to say so. I don't think "running off" your critics is the best way to proceed.

It's just a few people who are butthurt, hardly a concensus.

I upvoted it, but did they remove comments altogether? I don't even see a place to comment.

My friend and I have several of these with different themes. They are definitely worth owning. I keep mine in my wallet and have pulled it out many times when talking about sound/competing currencies. The one I keep on me is the 1984 one. :)

They also have some Rothbard ones that I find pretty sweet.

Absolutely brilliant. There is some talent behind this festival!

Brandon critics are fine. It's the malicious intent behind those who are hellbent on seeing us fail that I have a problem with. The ones who slander us.

I don't care what they say, you all are doing a great job - I wouldn't even know where to begin if I wanted to put something like this together.

Upvoted!! :D (and it has been so long since I've been on the DP site that I had to re-set my password to gain access!

Also, I agree, that's a really cool idea! Who doesn't like Mercury dimes?
