Let the regular readers get their copies first......

then, towards the end of the day...buy up any and all extra copies you can find in stores and boxes...

Make sure you pay for each one in the coin boxes so it counts as paid circulation (we arent thieves)

the goal is make the sellout of the paper that day a secondary news story in and of itself.....more attention to both the movement and MOST IMPORTANTLY...the Tea Party

I think your intention is good, but what if people buy it late in the day but they are sold out. I think money would be better spent donating to our guy. =)

Good idea. If I have enough money, I will definitely do this. I'll wait till about 11.

i said...towards the end of the day...

youre missing the point....if this turns into the highest circulation day of the year for usa today...we could get free publicity far in excess of the few extra bucks we each spend to buy a handful of newspaers.....$5 ought to do it

How about we put all the money we have into December 16th, and got $100 Mil worth of publicity?

Remember, the USA Today does not print an edition for Thanksgiving - they will sell Wednesday's edition on Thursday. If your plan is to buy all the extras, do not do so until THURSDAY night.

dude...buying up a handful of newspaers at .50 each isnt sapping resources from 12-16...

the free publicity of a 12-16 record sellout would ENHANCE 12-16...

ever hear the concept of using a little fish to catch a big fish?

When you go to buy your USA today, if it's out of a bin, make sure to stick a Ron Paul 2008 lapel sticker on that machine! I put them on all newspaper bins I walk by!

I don't think USA TODAY would think that an ad caused people to buy all their newspapers.

Sorry but this will never make any headlines, send the money to the campaign.

The ad came out great though, I'm sure it'll be very effective.

Yes they would if we told them about it first and they increased their production run 5 or 10%. It a great way to cheaply expand your money than just giving it to Ron because it will get new supporters also by passing them out or posting them around town. Office Max or others can Laminate them for you so they will last longer hung up.

Remember, the paper will be in circulation for TWO days due to the holiday, the 21st and 22nd. They aren't releasing a new USA Today until Friday morning...so don't buy up the last issues untill Thursday night.

The more you buy the less other more important people will buy it

Umm.. that is 75 cents per paper with maybe a max of ten to twenty per outlet left over..if that.. Your "suggestion" is not quite feasable., What was your intent in offering this up after having thought about it?

That's why you wait until Thursday night to buy it when theoretically, the more important people have had an ample chance to buy it. You do realize they come out with a new paper on Friday right? Don't let a single copy go unsold! Buy buy buy!

The newspapers will be worth more the day after they are sold out.. What is with you people wanting to throw cold buckets of spew on everything.. get a grip or a different hobby than negative meddling.

With it being a huge travel day, I think I might snatch up some extra copies and hand them out at the local airport terminal for free. People will read while standing in line, leave them at gate areas, on planes, etc.

I plan on going to a few local stores and inserting an additional Ron Paul trifold into it. Never hurts to hit them twice.

The real power of USA Today is all the hotels, airports, train stations and bus stations. A large number of these people have time to read it from cover to cover. I'm not asking people not to buy it but there will be a huge number of people traveling on the 21st, many airport delays. What a great day for an ad.

Let the ad do it's thing and start focusing on buying more ads elsewhere.
