Who's Romney going to pick? Let's test Ron Paul Forums' ability to predict.

While I would prefer Rand, I think it will be Rubio

Feel free to post news articles with speculation. Here's the one I partially based my guess on: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2012/07/no-rob-portman.php?

Yeah Rubio was my second pick. I'm thinking Jindal because he's a governor from a solid GOP state that doesn't lose a Senate seat or governorship if Romney wins. He's an evangelical, can represent a minority that is favorable to the GOP, and has a decent record to sell without any major scandals.

I did forget about McDonnell. He's actually a good chance.

He should just pick Obama.

If he picked Jesus, never mind Jesus would kick Romney in the nuts.

I think its down to Kelly Ayotte and Paul Ryan. Also I will be willing to bet $100000000000 that it wont be Rand Paul. They have got all they can get from his endorsement, so its time to discard him.

Yeah there's a few more that could have been added. I should have gotten more feedback before starting. It is what it is.

Mitch Daniels

Not likely. Looks like he will be the next president of Purdue University.

Who cares - I thought we were going to shove Ron Paul down the GOP's throat in Tampa for this position. It's also kind of irrelevant, because if RP isn't on the ticket, Romney won't have our vote and it's very unlikely he can get elected without it. Hence no repub VP will get elected.

My intel tells me it is going to be Jeb Bush, but a few days ago the Marco Rubio / Jim Greer trial in Florida got pushed back until after the election which means that it could now very well be Rubio.

I couldn't care less. There isn't a human being on Earth that he could pick that would get my vote.

Jeb Bush? There's no way. Romney's not that stupid, is he?

I predict Romney's VP will be some Bankster Sellout. The NAME does not matter. The fact that they are Bought and Paid for has everything to do with it.

What is exactly "our vote?" This idea that we are going to make or break the Romney presidency is crazy thinking.

Ron Paul received 2,050,000 votes during the Republican primary. Assuming 25% are hardcore which is a liberal number in my opinion. That's 512,000 hardcore Ron Paul supporters that will not vote for Romney, vote for someone else or stays home. Divide those voters by 50 states. You are looking at 10,250 voters per state. Do you honestly think Romney is scared? That is the average per state of Ron Paul hardcore supporters IMO which includes me. And to be honest, I doubt Ron Paul received contributions from half a million different people.

The other 75% of Ron Paul voters will support the "nominee." Yes, it is scary but that is the way the system is set up. People on the "Right" just want Obama gone. Most of the Paul voters will vote that way.
