He seems like he is going to press on, but he takes the opening speech at the RNC to resign and release all his delegates to vote there conscience, and then he does the unthinkable giving the finger to TBTB that allowed him to get to this point, he endorses Ron Paul for the good of the country. With virtually no notice other candidates have no time to mobilize, but the stealth delegates activate, many enthusiastically convince their peers who are in disbelief, but see there is no other choice to have a shot at beating Obama at this point. When the vote is called Ron Paul wins to the shock of the nation and the world. But most of all to Obama who was never prepared to take on Ron Paul.
As this political earthquake shakes America, many disillusioned are re-activated, Ron Paul has what Obama had in 2008.
