The spot shows a clip of Romney reading a verbatim Obama quote, then snarks: "The problem? That's not what [Obama] said." Twenty seconds later, the ad shows the clip of Obama saying precisely what his "truth team" just claimed he never said.

I watched the "out-of-context" clip of Obama saying that... then I watched the "in-context" clip of Obama saying that.... probably 20 times. It fucking pissed me off the more I watched it. Fuck him. In some ways he is right though. My small business is currently in the process of being audited. After the 2008 federally manufactured market crash, I decided to take the 50% remaining retirement I had left (my contribution with no increase over 11 years) and make a small business with it. I was sure that I could do better with my own money. The federal government took their cut of my retirement money before dispersing the money (lots of hoops and time to get your own money back). I proceeded to design a new frequency-hopping-spread-spectrum radio that out-performs the other high-end systems out there ( I had similar certified designs under my belt from previous jobs). The other systems out there are typically used in Oil&Gas, Military (UAV, missile guidance, etc). My system is designed to help agriculture feed us more efficiently. I'm not the best book-keeper, but I payed 1/4 of my retirement to have the device tested to make sure it met federal "radiated emissions requirements". The testing took 6 months and pushed my first year of development over the next. Well, apparently even if you have a device ready to go, you can't claim tax deductions if the device isn't marketable in that year. I payed all the sales taxes. I kept all bank statements and receipts. I hired an accountant. I contacted people. I sold systems (people that have it love it). I just can't make money at it. Am I blaming the government? No. Did I take any money from the business for personal use? No. I worked part time at other jobs to pay the bills. I finally have the business bank account sitting slightly above zero. This is ten+ years of my life to get to this point! Now they are going to probably shut it down because I didn't make enough profit in 3 years of having a business. So yes, I guess maybe it does "take friends" to make a business happen.

Do I think things would be any different with Romney in charge??? No!

Hugs. It shouldn't be this hard. You should be all over your accountant though, if I'm reading that right.
