7-17-2012 - Says he believes in his heart he has more than 5 states...

Asked if he will ask his supporters to get behind Mitt - RP says he doesn't believe he will be able to get enthusiastic about the party's positions as they are now.

Says he won't go along to get along.

I am happy that Ron hasn't budged. However, this makes it sound like he will not speak at the convention.

He MUST speak at the convention. Isn't there anything he or the campaign can do? Can't they inform the grassroots what is going on?

Right now, the only thing the campaign can say will be along the lines of what RP said in this interview. The only way they will say he is speaking at the convention is when the RNC approves the signatures of credentialed delegates, and it's a done deal.

I sure hope so. Getting a bit worried with some articles popping up like this one

http://blog.chron.com/txpotomac/2012/07/ron-paul-fails-to-win-speaking-slot-at-gop-convention/

which I hope is just wishful thinking from a biased paper.

If Ron does not get a speaking slot it effectively rules out any chance of me voting for Romney. A Republican Convention without Ron's message and that is all Neocon will turn allot of people off. Combine that with pissing off Ron Paul supporters by not having Ron speak will be enough to lose it for Romney in such a close election.

If this happens I am beginning to believe some of the commenters here might be right about the GOP not caring if they lose this election. They are making all the same mistakes of 2008, in fact worse than 2008.
