Another heartwarming story of the entrenched establishment getting their cages rattled.

"...it is clear that Ron Paul nationally and locally has designated Nebraska to be ground zero."

Wow

I forget. Did we do so well in Nebraska that we control the State Convention?

To: Nebraska Republican Party 2012 Convention

Delegates

http://objectiveconservative.blogspot.com/

After careful consideration I have decided to

announce my candidacy for Chairman of the Nebraska

Republican Party. We are at a critical juncture in

Nebraska and in our nation. The importance of the

issues we face requires a leader who can work with

Republicans who have volunteered tirelessly for a

number of years and also with the many newly-

elected members to our State and County Central

Committees.

I have been active in the Republican Party for many

years and believe I have the skill set and abilities to

focus the party's efforts on electing Republicans in

Nebraska. I am encouraged by the dedication of long-

time, active Republicans and the energy and

enthusiasm of people who have recently become

involved. Together we can promote a single vision

of electing Republicans at every level throughout

the state.

My roots run deep in Nebraska and in the Republican

Party. I grew up in Lincoln, graduating from Lincoln

East High School and then Hastings College with

degrees in Business Administration, Economics and

Psychology. I have worked in banking and the grain

business in Omaha since 1982 and reside in Blair. I

am currently the Chairman of the Washington County

Republican Party and 1st District County Chair

Representative on the NEGOP Executive Committee.

My mother, Kay Orr, was the first female Republican

governor in the history of the United States.

Over the years, Nebraska has been very fortunate to

have tremendous leadership in our party. This is

exemplified best by the strong direction provided by

Governor Dave Heineman. As NEGOP Chairman, my

goal will be to build on and continue the success that

we have achieved. With this election we have an

opportunity to unite our party and continue to cement

Governor Heineman's legacy as one of the true great

leaders in our state and our country, a leader who

encourages grass roots involvement and support to

help build and strengthen the Republican Party.

This is a critical time when we cannot afford anything

less than enthusiastic party unity. We need to seize

this moment by electing someone who has the time,

energy and passion to build on our past success and

extend the reach of the NEGOP. I believe I'm that

person. With your support I will bring an

understanding of the challenges the party faces, the

ability to bridge the small gaps between the different

groups that comprise our party in Nebraska and assist

Governor Heineman in our nationwide fight for

liberty and freedom.

I'm asking for your vote and look forward to seeing you

in Grand Island.

Sincerely,

John Orr

Candidate for Chairman

Nebraska Republican Party

We never know until we get there. If we do, it sounds like it will be in coalition with others and how that will shake out, I don't know. We might all agree on the Presidential vote....
