I was watching a clip from last year's game, the place was nearly empty. What a statement if we could FILL this thing with Paul supporters bearing signs, etc... Maybe the GOP would wake up a little if the place was cheering like mad for their side, knowing it was Paul people who were there. Just a thought.

[Picture here of LAST year's game not tonight's with Ron throwing out first pitch and being inducted to Congressional Baseball Hall of Fame: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/15/congressional-baseball-game-democrats-win-cedric-richmond_n_899555.html ]

It's only 10 bucks. If it wasn't a five hour drive I'd go, but I just took vacation. Knowing me, I'll change my mind and go anyway.

[Mod: It is $10 and you can get tickets here up to four hours before the event --> http://www.congressionalbaseball.org/

it is Thursday eve 6/28 - game starts 7:05 pm but Ron's ceremony and pitch are before the game. Money goes to charity]

I wish I knew about this a week ago, I'd have filled a bus to go down.

and therein is the rub. Colleges in DC which could easily fill buses, are closed for the summer, and no one knew in advance. I sure hope there's a crowd!

Not much information.

Did this already happen or something? Confused.

EDIT: And, uh, if not... when IS this going to happen?

It is tonight at Nationals stadium, and tix are $10 and the ceremony will be before the game, then Ron throws out the first pitch. There is a web site where you can buy tickets up to 4 hours before the event on the front page, but I will fetch it.

I hope he has people there. After the thousands attending all his events, it would be a shame if he didn't have supporters there. If we had known in advance I bet we could have filled that place!

I agree I want to see it, though! I hope they tape it. SOMEONE will, I expect....
