CUSTOM DYNAMIC RON PAUL BANNERS! (http://www.therobert.org/rp/bm/)

Just go to the URL above, upload a banner image on which you want to write dynamic text, and follow the tutorial! THESE BANNERS CAN SHOW THE NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS IN REAL-TIME, MEANING THEY SHOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE SIGNED UP FOR TEA PARTY 07 NO MATTER WHERE ON THE INTERNET THEY ARE PUT! More features coming soon including the ability to delete text snippets instead of just the last one, the ability to edit your custom banners, and some more visual previews using Javascript instead of just pressing Preview.

Here's a banner I made using this custom banner maker!

http://therobert.org/rp/bm/banners/1 (http://therobert.org/rp/bm/banners/1)
http://therobert.org/rp/bm/banners/1

EDIT: DO NOT SAVE THESE BANNERS. The numbers will only be updated if you use the image URL.

Here's more that have been made using this custom dynamic banner maker.

That's right!

Dynamic banners!

The subscriber count is updated in real-time, and once Trevor uploads my script I gave him that updates subscriber counts automatically, these banners will display the number of people signed up in real-time! (right now they depend on when Trevor updates the numbers manually)

I'm posting this in Grassroots, and not the 16th subforum, because I have an idea for this. How would you guys like it if I made a small site that let you made custom ones like this? You could choose the text, and exactly where to position it over a "template" banner, and you could make your own dynamic banner! For example, you could choose a picture of Ron Paul with lots of white space, and position the following text over the white space:

%NUM% people will help Ron Paul on December 16th! And you? TeaParty07.com

Where %NUM% gets replaced real-time with the number of subscribers. And I'm thinking of adding more numbers, like the current donation $$ count from RP's website, or maybe the number of members on RonPaulForums, for banners that promote the forums, etc.

What do you guys think? :D Isn't it great to have a programmer in the house?

Feel free to use the above banners for advertising! I'll be adding more if people like them.

I run a blog where I have some banner advertising. I would be willing to put something like this in the rotation with my other ads (mostly Google adsense) as a "contribution" to the effort.

Any chance of getting them in one of the "standard" ad sizes, like 728x90 or 160x600?

Or does somebody know where to find such?

Thanks,
Bruce

This is a good tactic because it gets people to begin watching banner ads.

Not as long as you keep them (reasonably) available and don't change the content (beyond the counter). I.e. I'm trusting you to not put some other ad in Rob Paul's spot :-)

You don't, but it says teaparty07.com. :)

It probably won't work with most sites, though, as there's not many that let you use a URL -- most just grab the file from the URL and upload it to their server (like this forum).

As often as Trevor bothers to. I'm working with him on getting it automated with a script.

I'll get you an XML feed tomorrow. (but for now, feel free to use http://therobert.org/rp/banners/count instead)

These are great! I want to advertise these banners on a popular sports forum. It's $99 per month, but you get great ad placement they show up in every thread topic at the top and between messages on the topic. You get

Full Banner, on the top of every thread
(468 pixels wide X 60 Pixels high)

AND..

Mini Banner, located every 7 messages inside a thread
(230 pixels wide X 35 Pixels high)

Is there anyone willing to pitch in $10 for this?

These are fantastic. I included a link to your thread in the newsletter today.

My only suggestion would be the same one that I have offered previously to people making graphics. I think it is crucial that the words "Ron Paul" are featured on just about everything we put out there. Name recognition is our #1 hurdle and additionally people will typically not click something if they are not sure what it is for.
