CHICAGO, IL- On Tuesday "Paul Festival," a grassroots event taking place in Tampa, FL highlighting the Presidential campaign of Texas Congressman Ron Paul, announced they had added even more speakers and sponsors to their schedule.
The event will take place August 24-26.
"Though Ron Paul's name is being used, the overall message is to promote the ideals of liberty," said Paul Festival Board Member Bryan Siemon. "This event will bring together groups from across the political spectrum to show unity and give one voice to the philosophy of liberty."
The event has gained a tremendous amount of press and media attention and early reports have shown a sharp increase in vendor and ticket sales. The event will feature speeches, live music and presentations on topics from stopping unconstitutional foreign occupation to ending the Federal Reserve.
"Voters from all points of view see independent thinking and openness in government as key issues in this election and going forward," said Siemon. "It's time we stop election fraud, restore civil liberties and get back to the Constitution.
Groups like LibertyCandidates.com and Free & Equal Elections Foundation are just a few of the organizations taking a lead role in the weekend's events. Free & Equal will be a top sponsor at the Festival with Founder and Chair Christina Tobin serving as one of the main speakers.
"We have so much more in common than the political and media establishment want us to believe," Tobin stated. "This event will be just the initial spark that starts the dialog and Free & Equal is proud to be supporting the effort."
Congressman Ron Paul and consumer advocate Ralph Nader have been two such candidates promoted by Free & Equal. Click the video below to view a discussion between the two men.
