Our nation was founded by ordinary citizen activists desiring a government that was accountable to the people. It’s 2012 and cities, counties, and school districts across our nation are seeing the effects of the visible lack of principled, conservative leadership as they face unbalanced budgets, uncontrolled debt, and residents who are fed-up with government intrusion into their lives and wallets.

The need for new leaders to come forward, to take a stand for free-market and limited government principles and to commit to defending Constitutional principles is as strong as ever. American Majority’s goal is to provide the tools and resources that will help you become effective activists in your community.

American Majority, along with the Cumberland County Tea Party, is pleased to announce that an activist training will take place in Crossville, TN on Saturday, June 23.

This political training will take place at the Community and Conference Center in Fairfield Glade in Crossville, 7 miles north of the I-40 interchange at Exit 322. It will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The cost is $25 and space is limited. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Full training materials and lunch will be provided and are included in the cost.

The event will be geared toward giving activists the resources and information that will help them effectively organize in their communities to defend limited government and free market principles.

Topics* to be covered during the training include:

GOTV: Volunteering for a campaign’s GOTV effort can have a measurable impact on the results of an election, and may even decide victory. Learn what it takes to be an effective volunteer and prepare to work for your candidate of choice.

How the Left Does It: Community Organizing: This presentation provides an in-depth account of ACORN’s community organizing plan from the arrival of the organizer to the handing off of the neighborhood to volunteer leaders.

How the Left Does It: Precinct Work & GOTV: This presentation provides a description of the GOTV operations of ACORN and SEIU. We highlight the preexisting political infrastructure that operates and grows year-round, linking local issues and concerns to state or national candidates, precinct captains, etc. Coalitions (particularly between ACORN and ProjectVote) use simple tactics such as door knocking for real results.

Precinct Power: Knowing what a precinct is and why it’s important is the key to impacting the vote tally in your community. Crunching the numbers, making sure that precinct captains are in-place, and making sure the voter registration logs are up-to-date are crucial to getting the results you want.

Ten Steps to Full Speed: A list of 10 practical things that local activists and volunteers can do to impact election results.
