Also, according to L Brooks Patterson (http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120611/POLITICS02/206110329), he's "Ron Paul on steroids". :p

More background about the race:
The GOP incumbent was kicked off the ballot because his signatures were fraudulent. This means that Kerry is the only one on the GOP ballot for the August 7th primary. The establishment is trying to put together a write in effort with your typical establishment candidate. The campaign is working hard and doing a good job, but they really need funds and manpower to compete. Thanks for your consideration! :toady:

I know he's talked about pulling all of our troops out of foreign military bases, just like Ron Paul.

Hey FSP-Rebel, were you at the Troy event with any opportunity to talk to the candidate on his stance on the NDAA indefinite detention provisions or his immigration policy stance?

Negative, I-275 is under construction so I wasn't gonna make that hike. Pretty sure Kerry is constitutionally solid on those issues. Nice to see him making the rounds to all the gop and tea party events plus festivals in the many areas of the district.

The word is spreading.....
Indeed, Paul allies have already won primaries in many states, including congressional candidates Thomas Massie in Kentucky and U.S. Senate candidate Kurt Bills in Minnesota. Paul ally Kerry Bentivolio appears headed for GOP nomination in the Michigan congressional district currently held by incumbent former presidential candidate Thaddeus McCotter.

It would be interesting if he won. That would make two solid conservatives from Michigan if he won. Him, and Justin Amash.
