That appealed to BB's viewers. The "upper right corner" that makes up a large segment of the viewership.

 I HATE THIS VCR.

It didn't record a dang thing.

Okay, it's probably not the VCR. I'm not very technically inclined. :o

Great interview, though.

It is to the point, precise, and just plain good to watch/listen.

I never feel this way about RP's interviews on the first watch. I am always "how is he going to do?" "how is this going to play w/ the audience?"

Those thoughts did not really cross my mind b/c of the way things were being said.

I think out of all the cable news interviews he has had so far, this one was the best. (there have been longer interviews and speeches that are better).

I did jot some notes...

Nice, the lead in is an economics roundtable discussion of tax changes proposed for hedgefunds and private equity: capital gains or ordinary income?

Socialist on board claiming it's ordinary income so it needs to be getting hit with a 35% rate like ordinary income. Intelligent man on board (dare I say a capitalist?) claiming taxing such money twice is unacceptable, and points out that in a global economy, the increase will cause even more investors to leave the US (and he's right). Cap gains at zero is done by a lot of countries because it INCREASES JOBS. Class warfare also brought up.

CAFE standards discussed. Socialist says increased standards will create incentive in Michigan for auto industry to make better more fuel efficient cars. Dan the capitalist says it's not the role of the FedGov, will give us smaller cars and more deaths, more expensive cars which will hurt lower income families, and it will hurt our auto industry even more.

Union vote in Senate tomorrow? I haven't been following. Socialist likes it, capitalist only had 5 seconds, he said it's an attempt to destroy the secret ballot and is a bad thing.

I hope they go to RP next!

DAMN, tech difficulties, can't get to Ron yet. Said they'd bring him up as soon as they get them fixed. They're back to the union vote thing....

NOW HE'S ON!

Why running?

Running to win.

He runs because he stands for principles, the war has motivated him, the GOP has strayed, we're in a mess, he's offering a different approach from the other GOP candidates.

ARe you hoping your views will prompt issues to be discussed or do you think you have a chance to win?

GOP base is shrinking, and they are "OBSTINATE." Says his views represent the majority of americans. Offering a candidacy that is WINABLE.

What is your libertairan view: synthesize it for us.

Liberty. I'm determined to promote that and individuals, free market economics, mind our own business, it's not strange, and to claim it's "maverick" is wrong - the other guys that advocate war are wrong, Ron says he's the traditional republican.

NEVER VOTED TO INCREASE TAX INCREASE! Said by the interviewer.

Ron says he'll eliminate IRS.

Fed prints money which causes inflation which hurts the poor and middle class, they've not had an increase in their standard of living in the past 7 years, yet the GOP does not understand why. It's in the printing of money and the hidden tax of inflation.

Does the tax code favor the rich?

I think it should be equal for everyone and very low. He touched on corporatism, military industrial complex, inflation. We can't equalize by raising taxes on the rich. We have to address role of govt and what we expect it to be. Mentioned the coming huge number of entitlements soon to come due, said we can't do it.

MAN THIS IS GOOD.

Said he doesn't think the gov't needs to have involvement in our everyday personal activity.

HE SAID WE ARE AT THE STAGE WHERE WE CANNOT AFFORD IT ANYMORE.

Says that's why the young are coming to his campaign.

Interviewer mentioned the interchange with Julie Annie, asked Ron if he backs down from what he said, Ron said NO, that he stands by what he said and explained it again.

i agree. preceded by a Cato guy. just watched the DVR - i think it was outstanding. good interviewer as well, but it was more the responses that were good.
"i'm running to win."

Dont get your hopes up b/c if someone did was not recording it, it probably can't be seen.

It was a live feed via win media streaming plugin which I dont know how to save/rip into a traditional, non-streaming format.

Hopefully someone had a dvr and can transfer it to their pc and put it on youtube.

I also do not believe Bloomberg is very active in archiving (even for a short period) their content (such as Cnbc and Msnbc).

The only thing I could think to add would be one line (in response to the related question) about how the tax code benefits the special interest, who are usually rich, though the rich are not inherently benefited b/c they are rich, and then how such goes to cause improper capital allocation, thus reducing economic growth.

you guys do know that bloomberg has hundreds of thousands of viewers, most all of which are above the median income level?

300,000 viewers on Bloomberg is better than 600,000 on some other shows. The money and power are watching financial news.

Please send a request to Bloomberg news to post the interview on their website.. if they get enough requests you would have to figure they would post it for advertising revenues. Here is the link I used:

Bloomberg is a socialist, I doubt Ron Paul would associate himself with him.

Bloomberg has been ACTIVELY trying to gut the 2nd amendment, he even almost got into trouble with the FBI and BATFE for ruining some of their investigations because he thought it would funny do do his own sting operations in other states trying to demonize gun dealers, they let him off with a warning not to interfere again, which he flippantly disregarded. He is an authoritarian socialist no better than Guiliani. He does not give a rat's ass about the bill of rights.

MONEY AND POLITICS appears to be repeating RIGHT NOW on Bloomberg Television.

Someone check this link to see if it's "viewable" online please, as I'm on DIALUP and it isn't coming in quite right.

I felt he hit on SOOOOO many different points, and showed just by the way he mentioned them that he ***UNDERSTANDS**** those issues...

I know I'm extremely biased, but ... how can ANYONE watch that and not be totallly intrigued with this man and his philosophy?

It can also be found on www.ronpaulaudio.com

Just scroll down a bit and you'll see it, right below the audio where Kent Snyder makes Ed Failor look like a scared little man. =)
