Once again, the government will teach us about how prohibiting something will raise its price.

Ebay bids for the RP dollar are now at $170 for an ounce. Compare this to an American Eagle Silver (one ounce) that retails for around $17. When you prohibit something that the people want it's price will go up artificially, whether it's Ron Paul dollars or an ounce of weed.

Sigh... I knew I should have bought a bunch of these RP dollars 6 months ago. Pretty soon the only way I will be able to buy them is to risk my life by going to a shady part of town.

The US Mint says it's not illegal to own one but then why did the FBI subpeona the customer lists of LibertyDollar as well??!?
