Let's send in a bunch of emails saying what Ron Paul would say. I wouldn't mention Paul directly, but lets make sure we get his perspective aired.

6 p.m.: Iran could be one year away from a nuclear weapon. What should the U.S. do about it?

I would make it four a only a few sentences at most.

Edit: Here is what he has said on the subject: http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2006/cr040506.htm

okay, I'll bite. . .what WOULD Ron Paul say? With respect, I don't think any of us here are qualified to speak for him.

I know we aren't qualified to speak for him.... I'm just talking about getting his ideas out there. What is wrong with that?

What I meant is that we should respond to Cafferty's question with something similar to what Paul has said on this subject. Given that you agree with Ron Paul of coarse.

Just be careful you don't harass Jack. He's one of our best allies.

I don't know what Ron Paul would say, but I kept my answer simple.

My answer:

The U.S. should use some common sense and learn from past mistakes. Take action, but not if that action is "preemptive war".

I said.

What can we do about it? Are we to attack yet another country putting our country further into bankruptcy. We've completely cut off all trade with the Iran so we have no leverage. A wealthy trading partner with Iran can be much more influential than a bankrupted Unite States.

I do agree with him an extremely high percentage of the time, and I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come off as antagonistic. I think it's great to get his ideas out there, and great to get people to start thinking like him. I just think the question is pretty specific and a little too complicated to wrap up in just a few sentences. And thanks for the link, I'm gonna check it out. :)

The statements that people made above are pretty excellent short and sweet responses.

Bump. Cafferty is an ally at this point, so lets try and make sure that we get a good "non-interventionalist" point on the air. The comments above that were sent are pretty good so far.
