Excellent! I know I voted for you, and I hope all Ron Paul Republicans would...

And I would expect us to overperform polls.

If Rick Williams loses, and the 2nd place winner gets a LOWER percentage of votes than Ron Paul gets in the presidential primary... that would be a pathetic lost opportunity that we would have NO ONE to blame but ourselves.

California-- both northern and southern-- has been terrific in its support of Ron Paul-- and me. I'm polling in the top tier of Republican Senate candidates; and the support for Ron Paul has been solid every step of the way. This state is ripe for change; and Liberty Republican activists are the very people who are going to change it. There for the taking.

Best of luck moving forward Rick, I know you and all the CA cats have been working hard for this and I'm grateful that liberty has such dedicated champions.
Just got back from some on the ground work in TX (and then visiting relatives) prior to their vote and this is welcome news to come home to.

Best,

Yes, outside of presidential races that's how it works. (Disclosure, I'm not from CA so I could have incomplete information :p )

Voted for you RicK two weeks ago by Permenant Absentee Ballot. Here on the Monterey Penninsula on the Central Coast Ron Paul Signs and Banners are posted everywhere I drive.

There is no Romney presence whatsoever. Good Luck tonight!!!

Although I just voted for you and hope you win, the honest truth is that there will be people today who vote for Ron Paul in the primary and have never heard of you.

Out of 6 voters (family), here's how it broke down:

President: 3 Ron Paul, 3 Mitt Romney (sheep!)
Senate: 5 Rick Williams, 1 Random Pick (because they couldn't remember).

On the other hand, the media has had zero influence on the CA Senate Race...people are picking at random unless someone gives them a recommendation.

The Estab Repub vote will be splitting today among several candidates. And voter turnout is the lowest in California history (35%). And discouraged Estab Repubs think Feinstein is unbeatable (she's not). So there's no way to know what the outcome will be. Astonishing in a U.S. Senate race of this importance-- but that's California in the modern world we live in. Poised for major change.

I have a feeling that the counting of votes will be very important this time around...

Usually everyone concedes before all of the votes are counted. With so many candidates dividing up the votes, every vote will be important.

I forced my wife to the polls at 730 to vote for you! It would be awesome to see a liberty candidate go up against Feinstein and at the least, an opportunity to educate millions of people.

no, it isn't a run off, it's a primary to see who goes to general. Only the top two do.

no, it isn't a run off, it's a primary to see who goes to general. Only the top two do.Ah ok, but youd think if one got the majority, they just skip the general.

Results are here:

http://graphics.latimes.com/california-primary-june-5-2012/#/other_races

With 12.0% reporting:

Dianne Feinstein (D) 50.5%
Elizabeth Emken (R) 12.6%
Dan Hughes (R) 6.2%
Rick Williams (R) 3.4%
20 other candidates after that

Not bad for a 24-candidate race.

Ron Paul currently has 72,188 votes, good for 9.2% with 11.9% reporting. (Over 2x the 4% from 2008)
Rick Williams has 67,358 votes -- looks like pretty good pull from the Ron Paul crowd.

No one votes in primaries, essentially.I mean that I thought it would be run as a runoff. Feinstein got 50.5%, but still has to run again in the general even tho all her opponents combined wouldnt beat her. Strange concept...

that is because they got rid of the GOP primary / dem primary. Honestly, NO ONE votes in the primaries. Having no chance to even challenge in the general election would not have passed

Massie had a LOT of threads here, and graphics and videos.

I donated to him. No one here had a moneybomb or phone bomb for Rick.

I'm sorry Rick didn't get the votes to make the run off.
