From the outside looking in, putting feelings aside. It appears that the "establishment" has created this two party system. I believe they've done this for a number of reasons.

One in particular, is to keep the country divided. Doing this, gives them a lot of leway to get anything done that they want done. Things like the Healthcare bill. Some may say it's a road to socialism. But from the outside looking in, and seeing the "bottom line", it's facism. The insurance companies just picked up 30 million new customers. Forced by the government. That's fascism, no matter how you shake it, slice it or dice it. Especially when you throw in the government subsidies and contracts they will recieve.

The establishment is the reason why 9/11 wasn't fully investigated. It's the reason why the MSM is never 'fair and balanced. It's the reason why we have continuous wars. It's the reason why some Americans are scared of Iran. It's the reason why Obama's citizenship is still in question. It's the reason why Romneys job record as MA gov. isn't known by most of his supporters. It's the reason why Americans can't buy cheaper drugs from other countries. It's the reason for everything connected to the government and/or big business.

And so, with this two party paradigm, it doesn't matter who the president is. They will both tow the establishment's line. Or they wont be president. And anyone that challenges the establishment, without the majority of Americans behind them, will always fail. Because they control everything. And they will control the military when too many people get too pissed off at the government as try to exercize their "bill of rights" and overthrow or change the government.

This all seems very bleak for us citizens. But, this is what we have. And will will always have. At least until this country goes through a total economic collapse. Which will happen soon I hope. Because when it does, a majority of Americans will finally wake up and realize that even the government nor the establishment isn't "too big to fail".

Sure, it will hurt for a while. Much like ending a long relationship. But in the end, we will all be much stronger & smarter. Most people will actually vote their conscious. The establishment stronghold on the MSM, the government and big business will end. The free market will finally be the driving force. And Americans will finally start holding their elected officials accountable.

This is just my opinion. And nothing else.

to keep the country divided

United We Stand, Divided We Fall - very simplistic but effective tactic

country goes through a total economic collapse....Sure, it will hurt for a while. Much like ending a long relationship.

I would equate it more to stopping a drug addiction
