View Full Version : Plugging other 2nd Amendment Forums...

Like a couple of other posters here I'm still finding a lot of resistance to Ron Paul on (supposedly) pro-2nd amendment forums such as http://www.opencarry.org. Frankly I'm a bit shocked there isn't more support for RP on such places given his spotless record on this subject.

Can people add their particular 2nd amendment forums/sites here so that we can all join up and plug RP in each as much as possible?

The 2nd amendment crowd should be the biggest supporters of RP yet many still seem to think Fred (or even Giuliani in some cases) are going to be their salvation!!

http://www.opencarry.org is the one I'm a member of. They have a political section and there's a few RP supporters there - but there's still a ton of Fred heads drinking the Faux News Kool Aid.

If you know of any other good 2A sites/forums, please post a URL in this thread.

I post on AR-15.com. They are about 40% for RP and 60% for Fred. I think we would win about half of them if Fred would drop out. What would really be great is if we could find the elusive Rudy McRomney voter. Where do they hide?

Not on the Internet, apparently. They probably get their 'news' and worldview from TV.

Hi GoSlash27:cool:

I was at THR till I was banned in the night of the long knives.
I still do not know why.
Oh Well, I am not a gun owner anyway. I am dealing with an Infringement.
I hope that Ron Paul can change that, but even if not, having an Honest Man in office will be good for everyone.
I liked THR despite some of the folks there.

crashm1,
Howdy.:) I also got banned from THR with no explanation a few months back during the purges. :o
A shame, 'cause there's good technical info there I can't access now.

I usually go to The Firing Line, but any discussion of Ron Paul there will quickly digress into name calling and tail chasing arguements. (For a visual example of what I mean by that, go watch the movie 'Idiocracy' and pay attention to the scene where they are discussing why Brawndo has what plants crave.)

I guess I've had better luck that you guys on this. But then, I stick to my local gun forums, instead of the national ones. It also helps that I've been a senior member on that board for a few years, and started hanging out there since about 2003. Thus, it is known I'm not a Paulbot, as I've been saying the same things for years, and promoting libertarianism the entire time. (Not every day of course, just when i se an opportunity to do so without being obnoxious.)

Here, you can see that Paul is winning on the forum I hang out at. http://www.arizonashooting.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39408&highlight=poll+candidate

Might I suggest that no matter what happens THIS year, stay active on thos gun forums! Be known. Earn respect. That way, when it's time once again for activism, the members might be more willing to listen.

Fortunately, Fred will be dropping out soon. Then the task will be to keep them all from switching to Huckabee. Most will anyway. But don't give them an easy break. Rub their nose in it.

Man, that's funny.

"Ron Paul's got what voters crave!"
"Why?"
"Because he has ACOLYTES!"

Sorry bout the threadjacking. Most of the good gun forums have been listed.

'Idiocracy' was a hoot.

I'm a member on Glock Talk, but rarely go there anymore because of how many thick headed neo-cons are on there. I occasionally will go on there and post something about RP in the political section, but thats about it. I remember when that forum was pretty awesome.

I'm on THR, APS, and TFL. Lame about you guys being banned, there is a lot of good info on THR. You're right though, many of the 2A people on those sites are rabidly anti-Paul. It's weird, I would expect them to be the staunchest of supporters, being generally freedom minded, and critically thinking for the most part.

^^

being generally freedom minded, and critically thinking for the most part.

Superficially and online I am sure.
There are many that are, but many are not.
Many are "GOTMINEs".
