Note: To read to the written response (Email Record) visit the USWGO Public Records Archive (http://uswgo.com/public-record-archives) or go to it directly here (http://uswgo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/USWGO-Mail-NDAA.pdf) (154KB). Petitions do indeed work and proves that Nullify-NDAA was the most successful thing to try using real petitions with real peoples signatures.

North Carolina Legislature member Rep. Bryan R. Holloway (http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/members/membersByDistrict.pl?sChamber=H&nDistrict=91) has just pledged support in the vote of House Resolution 982 (http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/BillLookUp/BillLookUp.pl?Session=2011&BillID=H982) that is still in the 'Rules, Calendar, and Operations of the House' standing committee. H.R. 982 in the North Carolina House of Representatives was introduced by Rep. Glen Bradley (http://uswgo.com/nc-state-rep-glen-bradley-introduces-bill-to-nullify-the-ndaa-law.htm) a Ron Paul endorsed senate candidate and still representative.

Excerpt from Email (http://uswgo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/USWGO-Mail-NDAA.pdf):

Thank you for your email and petition. I support the resolution and I have notified Glen Bradley that I will vote for the bill. Unfortunantely, the time to sign the bill has passed and I just found out it was filled last week today. But again, I am a "yes" on the resolution. Thank you for your time and effort on this matter.

The reason he talked about "the time to sign the bill has passed" was due to me calling his office and asking to co-sponsor H.R. 982 to gain more support in the Rules committee since a bill has already been introduced which means that the Nullify-NDAA Petitions objective to getting a bill introduced is now redundant. In order to follow through with the Nullify-NDAA Petition for Rockingham County the Representative was suppose to either cosponsor the H.R. 982 bill or pledge support for it which Rep. Holloway has done.

As what was stated at the Mayodan Town Council (http://uswgo.com/nc-senator-phil-berger-receives-the-nullify-ndaa-petition-at-the-mayodan-town-hall.htm) on two occasions (http://uswgo.com/uswgowac-nc-brian-d-hill-gave-a-speech-on-the-ndaa-law-april-9th-2012.htm) on May 14th 2012, The NDAA allows the military to being given orders to secretly detain and torture American citizens and lawful resident aliens in the event that they are accused of simply being a terrorist or domestic extremist.

The petition preciously took weeks to complete including gathering signatures from Rockingham Community College, some signatures from law students. It has received 221 signatures and only 3-5 are not constituents of Rockingham County or are out-of-state. Some of the petition signers were from Charlies Soap Factory, and other small businesses all over Rockingham County which contributed greatly to action being taken. Also heavy ad pushing was done in New Bern NC and other areas near New Bern and thanks to that enough support was given to Sen. Phil Berger, Rep. Bryan Holloway, and Rep. Bert Jones to get the ball rolling.

USWGO email is still awaiting word from Sen. Berger and Rep. Jones on their decision on H.R. 982.
