They are theorizing that Rand will run for POTUS in 2016 and Massie will take his seat.

How about he knocks off McConnell in two years and then we elect another liberty candidate for Rand's seat in 2016? :)

Even if Rand doesn't run in 2016, Massie can eventually get into the senate. McConnell is 70 years old, I figure he isn't going to be around forever.

Wow.... if Tom replaces McConnell that would be indescribable!

So many Kentuckians (both sides) just want McConnell out... Would love that!

It seems like Kentucky is the RPF-Ron Paul Movement base of operations. Rand Paul as Senator, Thomas Massie as Congressman, Chris Hightower as State Rep.

i believe McConnell will hand pick his successor. he has a war chest even now, far from his next election. it will be a difficult (but not impossible) fight. that fight has surely been made easier tonight with people in office like Rand, Massie, and Hightower in public view and with their talking points.

how many mainstream candidates have stuff like "food freedom" listed on their issues page? kudos, Thomas Massie!

Many people bashed McConnell as I went door-to-door. Especially in Lewisburg Kentucky, which carried me in my election. #smartpeople

Its only reason why they'd rig a Romney win... to keep Rand out of the 2016 spotlight.

how about we just make sure all future elected candidates are liberty candidates?

Romney won't win. This election is virtually identical to 2004. Romney is John Kerry.

Kentucky wasn't exactly liberty central either. Certainly not in the same league as a Minnesota, Nevada, or Maine. If we can have overwhelming victories in Kentucky, we can win anywhere!

no offense, but those of us in red states hear different noise than those of you in blue states. Indiana will not go blue this time. I'd bet a LOT of money on it.

yo... Liberty Hobbit... you'd see Trey leave Harvard in a NYC minute were Senator McConnell

to say he's about to retire. he had promiced Trey a senate seat and there are only two in KY.
