I'd reply, "I'm not actually from Thomas Massie, I'm from ________, __ and I'm just volunteering my spare time because I believe in freedom. It is very unfortunate that the phone system seems to be malfunctioning like that, there are a lot more people we still need to reach. If you can overlook that, I hope you can go to his website and look through his positions and see if he is a candidate you might be interested in supporting."
