From state Sen. Tom Davis' FB page:

"I was elected to be a national delegate yesterday at the South Carolina GOP's state convention, and I look forward to voting this August in Tampa for a platform that supports individual liberty, free markets, sound money and constitutional government."

+ 1 delegate from SC :D

My understanding is they failed to report results last I heard.

Here is the list. Don't know who they are, though: http://charlestongop.org/?p=1891

I like the guy, but I would bet money that he will vote for Romney in Tampa. I'm sure he has been threatened enough that he got the message.

Whats to threaten? Romney has the numbers right?

Out of curiousity, are the votes and voters identified or is it only state by state?

He'd be delusional if he thought by voting for Romney he'd be voting for a "platform that supports individual liberty, free markets, sound money and constitutional government" :)

This guy really has guts. I hope we support him well when he runs for reelection.

Tom has his seat for good. No one can take it from him, but on the other hand....I hope he runs for Demint's seat in the senate after Demint retires.

more input !! more input !
since Gingrich won SC, and those 23 delegates are supposed to be bound to him on the first ballot and now that he is out of the race, what will those delegates do ?
or all those delegate positions have been taken over by Romneites ?

Davis had the guts to endorse Ron Paul before the SC primary - the only major politician in that state to do so. He'll have the guts to vote for Ron Paul in Tampa.

Davis is the real deal. I watch his facebook feed, he's in deep with all the Ron Paul/liberty movement stuff.

He also just recently linked to a Gary Johnson article on his FB feed. That should give you some idea of how little he seems to feel the need to tow the GOP line :)

Besides, the problem we have, really, isn't a lack of people like RP who will NEVER fall in line with the party. It's that 99% of politicians fall in line 99% of the time instead of 1% of the time. Even Rand Paul said he'll support the eventual GOP nominee. These politicians may not be 100% perfect but they're not the problem, I think some people get too caught up in a "purity test" mentality.

The big problem is people who sell out their principles so fast and so often that it ceases to even matter what their principles are.
