Police, Protesters Clash At End Of Anti-NATO Summit

Editor’s Note: Police unleash a campaign of fear and intimidation against NATO protesters. They then manipulate local media to portray the violence as instigated by the activists.

Police in riot gear clashed violently with protesters at the end of the anti-NATO summit on Sunday

The clash occurred at 22nd Street and Michigan Avenue.

Police Supt. Garry McCarthy was seen right in the middle of the fray directing his officers.

Police were yelling at the crowd to move back as some of the protesters threw object at the line.

There were a few intense moments has protesters clad in black began shoving. Police responded by striking them with clubs.

Live feed from CNN a few minutes ago showed officers beating men and women in the head with clubs. There are orders to disipate and the protesters aren't moving. Be prepared for this to get very ugly. Five hundred officers in "combat" gear getting ready to crack skulls; the host was quick to point out the difference between "combat" gear and riot gear, though I've yet to understand what that is. (Combat gear to me sounds like a standing army) Of course, CNN positioned their cameras on the outer layer of officers, just standing around, once it became clear they were indiscriminately hitting men and women in the head with clubs. Back to regular programming, AKA their circus. Gee whiz, I wonder what those wacky Kardashian sisters will do next.

ETA: Fox News also did the same thing. They admitted that their cameras are purposely on the outer edge of police, "as to not recreate images like the ones from 1968." I hate MSM with a passion.

If I was rich and powerful and wanted to keep the contents of my meeting somewhat quiet, I would make sure there were protestors outside making all of the headlines.

Would you really risk it?

This is why they want to ban cameras.

Only mundanes' cameras. I seen an (anchorman) on television that seemed to have read some of azxd's posts. Something about provoking police into violence and wondering the figures of how many officers were injured. You know- torn rotator cuffs, bruised knuckles, becoming dehydrated from the long hours in the sun. Somebody really ought to be making sure these heros are properly hydrated. Cue, CNN.

Also, did anyone else see all of the people wearing bicycle helmets? Better safe than sorry I suppose.

Somewhere I came across a story that about eight five percent of California retired Highway Patrolman are collecting some kind of disability along with their retirement.

Man did I have that wrong.

Quote;

“Even the California Highway Patrol - at the highest levels - is not spared from fraud allegations. ABC News reported "possible abuse ... specifically among its highest ranking officers. Most startling of all, 80 percent of assistant chiefs retired on disability - almost as many deputy chiefs ... 68 percent of assistant CHP commissioners were disabled when they retired. Investigators found that the CHP had the highest rate of disability retirements in state government."
