I wonder what the establishment republicans think when Ron is up there giving a speech or being introduced like a rock star.

I'm surprised no one has talked about his speech on the forum.

Was it not that good?

Sounds like we had at least a bit of success. I just got the following "Ron Paul" email:

Just moments ago, at the Minnesota State Convention, one of “our own” - Kurt Bills - won the support of the Minnesota Republican Party in his bid for the U.S. Senate!

That’s truly great news.

But it means our work is just beginning!

So won’t you please act right now to make sure Kurt’s campaign hits the ground running by making a generous contribution to his campaign?

I hope you will.

With your help, I believe Kurt can take on and DEFEAT incumbent Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar.

And I believe his win at the Minnesota GOP convention proves our R3VOLUTION is just getting started!

You see, Kurt is truly one of our own.

In fact, as a high school economics teacher, Kurt actually used my book, End the Fed, in the classroom!

I've snipped a bit of it since it's lengthy, but the email was "signed" by Ron Paul. Sounds like there's
a good chance to get another liberty movement person in the Senate!

This is great, especially considering Rick Perry endorsed the opponent and it was viewed as sort of a proxy battle between Paul and Perry....and Paul apparently won!

But what about his speech?

It was a good speech with a relaxed delivery. He mentioned the NDAA vote in Congress this week. He focused a lot on Liberty, Peace and Prosperity and Sound Money....the debt. Kind of 'typical' for RP.

My one complaint, and I say this only because he was not speaking to a 'Ron Paul' audience only, but to a 'GOP' audience at a State Convention, is that, IMO, he could have just not mentioned 'hemp'. It's fine when speaking to those that support him already, but not likely to win any new converts.

I heard a lot of it earlier. It was pretty much typical Paul with no talk of concession: economics, freedom, corruption in DC, raw milk and hemp. Lots of support in the convention center.
Question: was this speech before or after Kurt got nominated?

It was a great speech but I wish he would have said something about getting the GOP nomination in Tampa. Or am I wrong to want him to say that?

If Ron is more interested in campaigning for other people instead of his own candidacy for the presidency, that speaks volumes to me.

Delegates, we need to do this........

Don't think about Paul intentions based on this past week, think of Paul for the last 30 years. He has more support now than ever before and the delegate strategy is working. If it wasn't working, why would Romney risk political face by setting up shadow GOPs? At this point, for those who have already dismissed Paul or don't care to have any substancial interest; a tv commercial is not going to sway them, so why not use the money else where.

And since the delegate strategy is working, the media starting focusing on the delegates and that's not good for the strategy. So just give out some subjective information and trust the MSM to spin it.

Some people are looking towards 2016, but in another 4 years, what rights will be left? How many more countries will we bomb and how long before other countries retaliate?

Never forget why you starting supporting Paul.

I don't think you're wrong in thinking that. I would've liked to hear something along those lines too.
But hey, any speech where he mentions Raw Milk, is a damn good speech.
I laugh every time I hear it.

opossum?

Haa Haa haa. :D

I remember seeing someone mention opossum the other day and was going to ask the question whether they had possum's in Texas. They sure can scare the bejeebers out of you when they pull that, I'm Not dead thing they do. They can leave you hanging several feet up in the air with every hair one your head standing straight up and doing everything they can to make a quick get-a-way!

Talk about an instant mood change when you finally are able to touch the ground again.

P.S. Good speech. I never could tell if he was actually there or not (Must have been though). It seemed to me he didn't really need to be if it meant he could be addressing many groups at the same time.

I'm not even there or seeing it live but it was good for me. Thanks you all for posting them.

That seems to happen a lot around here. :)

Can't say I'm not hoping No1butPaul is right, but ...

Although it IS a great speech (after all, what speech given by Ron isn't great?), I thought it was really a letdown compared to his speech at the NV state convention. I was really looking forward to hearing him continue to call out both romney and obomba at the same time. IMO, he needs to keep hammering away at the "Republicans can't win the general without me and my supporters" theme.

Unfortunately all 3 of the videos fail to show the actual entrance of Ron into the room. It was louder and more energetic than when he started speaking.

Question: was this speech before or after Kurt got nominated? After. The MNGOP didn't want to let Ron speak before the Senate endorsement vote because they didn't want Ron's speech to affect the outcome.... :p ha ha ha ha.
