I hope the Rich Texan uses his Super Pac for Ron Paul campaigning in Texas and not just a general one. We need every bit of help to beat Romney in Ron Paul's home state

I want to say this SuperPAC is great. Head to the Texas subforum Texas Delegates if you haven't secured a Ft. Worth hotel. They blocked off rooms in 4 Ft. Worth hotels. Some cheap, others less cheap, but this group is working hard.

I hope to meet this man and thank him for his efforts for liberty while in Ft. Worth!

...Regardless of the outcome in the Kentucky race, Texas will likely be seeing more of Ramsey’s super PAC, which currently has offices in Nacogdoches, Tyler, Houston, and Austin. With this week’s news that Paul won’t be spending money to campaign in any remaining primary, Ramsey told Murphy he’s “more than happy to pick up the slack” for Paul in Texas’s May 29th primary...

My bold for emphasis.

Important note: Texas is a Proportional Primary with no minimum vote threshold.

I LOVE to hear stories like this.

I just wonder if the money couldnt be better spent considering the cost of TV ads.

Picked up by Business Insider:

But Bates said he is already ramping up hiring, and plans to have a fundraising team of between 5 and 10 people. The goal, he said, is to raise $10 million by the end of the summer. "There are

members of the community that have the ability to write large checks

and we want to give them an organization that is well-organized and well-oiled — we think they are interested in investing in a freer country," Bates said. "“We’ve already created a niche for those investors who want to make freedom codified in the political system.”

THIS is what RP2012 has needed all along. A super PAC focused on "members of the community that have the ability to write large checks". I had a job in college calling alumni, and a job fresh out of college doing collection calls for international clients of a big business. Both of which were positions focused on individuals with the ability to deliver large lump sums of cash. With the RIGHT call list money rolls in.

I think we need to focus on international donors, big $$$ donors, and lobbying delegates. We've proven we have broad support accross the US and in the armed forces. Its a fair time to get the big dogs to ante up.
