This is my first post, and I have become a Liberty supporter especially after the obvious lying and cheating that has come from the GOP I have always supported before. My family and I are the classic Christian Conservatives who listen to Fox News and Rush. I have a picture with Sarah Palin and Laura Ingraham, and have traveled to hear Glen Beck. I am also a successful businessman and never ran for any political office. There are millions of people like me who were initially excited about GW Bush, but have felt let down for years now. I was hoping Fred Thompson would catch fire 4 years ago, and when he fizzled I became open to Dr Paul, but back then I preferred Romney. I voted for McCain, but was mostly excited about Palin. This time around I was intrigued with Dr Paul, but could have supported several candidates to defeat Obama. Now I feel I'm ready to be apart of this new Liberty movement.

Christianity was a movement in the beginning. Jesus spoke in parables, and most (including the top leaders of that time) did not understand. In the end He was hated by the religious leaders, and was lied about and falsely accused. Pilot even gave the people a choice between releasing Jesus (innocent) and Barrabus (known criminal), and the people choose Barrabus.

In present day Dr Paul speaks truth, and the intellectuals do not understand. He is hated by the GOP, and has been lied about and cheated in state after state. And in the end, these power hungry GOP leaders would rather support President Obama than Dr Paul if it came to that in my opinion. Mitt Romney does not rock the boat. Pure Freedom and Liberty castrates the power of government.

This movement is still just a spark that hasn't caught fire yet. We are nowhere near critical mass. And in my opinion places like Liberty Forest can become the breeding ground of new political leaders, and be a virtual campaign headquarters. Becoming delegates is great, but why can't a Senator or even future Presidential candidate come from here? We are the new center of the universe in the Republican Party, and if it's God's will can positively change the future of this country and even world.

I have always assumed I'd be unelectable, because I am not PC. I get easily irritated at dumbed-down politics trying to reach the lowest common denominator. This country needs people who inspire all to want to be excellent and use their God-given talents to their fullest. The Bible has two examples of how to proceed.

Peter preached to the Jews (GOP). He was often quite harsh because the Jewish people should know better because they had the knowledge of God already. Peter would not have been effective with the Gentiles speaking like this.

Paul preached to the Gentiles (Dems and Independents) and was very good at describing who God was to those who did not understand, or had many gods.

This political season is stirring people up and millions will be more open to the preaching of Freedom and Liberty. I believe we can become apostles of this movement, and years from now we can all reflect back to now and marvel at how far we have come.

I'm anxious to become involved, because I believe the Truth is with us, and more good people will be attracted if this opportunity is not spoiled. Let's be grassroots, and be politically savvy at the top. We need to know when to love on people, and when to be angry. Let's love on those who do not yet understand, and turn over the tables of the coin collectors within the Republican Party. Dr Paul was the spark, but we can be the fire. Many in America are hungry for us, but they don't know us yet. We will be hated, but it will be worth it.

May God be with us.

Welcome to the forums.

I think after you've been here a while, you'll notice it's already on fire here and has been for years :)

But, you won't hear that in the media.

Great to have you on board. Are you preaching the good word to your family? If you can see the light to liberty I'm sure you can spread that light to your family members. Tell them that Ron Paul is still in the race and that he can actually win if all delegates are truly unbound. I think the nomination will go to the courts but just by challenging Rmoney we can make a difference and show the country and this movement is not dying.

Welcome!

You can make a significant impact by attending your local GOP meetings and spreading the message of liberty there. You can also try and become a Precinct Committeeman (unless you are in Cook County). PCs are voting members of each County GOP and that is how we plan to change the GOP from the ground up. If you're interested, you need to contact your County GOP and ask if there is a vacancy for PC in your precinct. If there is, they can appoint you to the position but it's best if you show up to their meetings and be friendly with people first before you ask to be appointed.

Welcome to the R3VOLUTION!

I used to listen to Glenn Beck (and watch his show) religiously. I did the same with Fox News, until one day, something did not seem right, so I began watching both FNC and MSNBC. From there, something still didn't seem right, and by that point, I became a Ron Paul supporter and realized that the entire media, television AND talk radio, had some sort of movement against Dr. Paul and his following.

Now, I don't watch any sort of cable news program and very rarely tune into talk radio. I suggest that everyone else do the same, because the MSM is lying to us!

Anyway, I pray you are sincere and truly are a new Paul supporter. I haven't heard of anyone "going back" once their eyes have been open to Dr. Paul (assuming one's eyes were genuinely opened). Our movement is only getting bigger with no signs of slowing.

I still listen to Beck, but don't buy into all of his beliefs. Same as I do almost everyone else I come into contact with.

That's the great thing about our movement. Even we don't agree on many things, but we have enough of an idea of what freedom should be that we allow for those differing opinions, and we have some incredibly lively debates(but you may get offended here and there by the language....just letting you know now:)).

Welcome, and I hope you learn enough to pass it along to others and solidify the change in the history books with all of us!!

I just checked my precinct info and the committeeman is a neighbor living 3 houses away. Most precincts didn't even have a Republican running. Hoping mine was open too.

Well the election in March elected brand new PCs who will hold their position for the next two years. You said your precinct has a PC. Is that for this current term that will end this year or is that based on the March primary election?

Grettings ILLINI , I already have quite a bit of compassion for someone interested in Liberty living in a state named for the Great Illinis peoples with such outrageous socialistic policies.

Grettings ILLINI , I already have quite a bit of compassion for someone interested in Liberty living in a state named for the Great Illinis peoples with such outrageous socialistic policies.

Chicago area dominates the rest of the state, including the University of Illinois. Because of that Illinois has become one of the more liberal friendly states during national elections, yet probably 90% of the counties vote Republican. The Chicago fraud is notorious.
