Fukushima to Blame For Mysterious Illness Striking Hundreds of Flight Attendants?

Hundreds of Alaska Airlines flight attendants have filed a formal complaint about uniforms they suspect might be causing their skin to rash and develop lesions, and their hair to fall out. But based on the timing of the symptoms and their relation to similar symptoms in local marine life and polar bear populations, it appears as though radiation from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster may also be a potential culprit.

KING 5 Newsin Seattle, Wash., first broke the news about the “mystery illness” that has reportedly affected at least 280 flight attendants thus far. According to accounts, those afflicted by the condition say they have developed persistently itchy skin, skin lesions, and hair loss, all of which they suspect may have to do with newer flight uniforms that allegedly contain tributyl phosphate, a toxic organophosphorus compound linked to skin problems (http://www.rightdiagnosis.com).

But not everyone is convinced that the uniforms are to blame, including Alexander Higgins who recently connected the dots to discover a potential link to the Fukushima Daiichi disaster. After comparing the flight attendants’ symptoms to those reported on polar bears and marine life from the northwest U.S. throughout the past year, the timing and correlation of the two is highly suspect.

Are Alaska Airlines flight attendants suffering the effects of nuclear radiation fallout?

Back in April,AlaskaPublic.orgreported that an alarming number of polar bears living in the Beaufort Sea, which is located just north of Alaska and Canada’s Yukon and Northwest Territories, were turning up with skin lesions and Alopecia, which is another name for hair loss. And before the polar bears, it was apparently ice seals and walruses living in the arctic that were suffering similar symptoms (http://www.alaskapublic.org).

Upon these discoveries, it seemed as though scientists and biologists tried every which way to avoid tagging nuclear radiation as the cause, blaming viruses, bacteria, and other factors as potential causes. But all of these hypotheses have failed, under further scrutiny, to prove true, which leaves one major elephant in the room that is not being discussed: nuclear fallout from the Fukushima Daiichi disaster.

Based on the timing of when these creatures began to suffer their horrible symptoms, as well as the nature of their symptoms, it appears as though radiation from Fukushima may at least beoneof the causes of this mystery disease. And the striking similarity of the animals’ symptoms to those of the Alaska Airlines flight attendants points even more heavily towards a nuclear radiation link in the latter case as well.

In any case, there is little or no chance that the mainstream media, theAssociation of Flight Attendants, or any other prominent group will dare question radiation of Fukushima as a cause. After all, the public has been deliberately left in the dark the whole time about the true severity of Fukushima radiation, which we recently reported has been far worse than what we have all been told in the official story (http://www.naturalnews.com/035847_plume-gate_Fukushima_radiation.html).

No test for radiation done? Just pure speculation it appears.

I'm staying in on rainy days ... people are reporting high levels during rain in several places when they test for radiation

I agree it's is speculation. I am open to ideas on what the cause would be though if it's not Fukushima.

Hide under you bed.

Contact dermatitis. Clothes or laundry detergent used on 'em. Chlorine in shower water?

Any digestive issues? That might be crawly crap in their food or heavy metal poisoned sea food...

(Grab a Geiger counter and check 'em out. Ingested radioactive food / water very unlikely with all those "skin only" symptoms. How are their lungs?)

Maybe it's that new PuFirm perfume they're all using... bottled right there in Japan at the Fukushima Daiichi site!

I would be more excited about this if pilots and frequent fliers were suffering from the same.

The polar bears experienced a similar outbreak in 1999 when there was no nuclear disaster. http://www.inquisitr.com/217003/polar-bear-alopecia-alaskan-polar-bears-losing-fur/

While similar conditions were found back in the late 1990s, the cause has yet to be unveiled by scientists who are hard at work searching for an answer to the sudden loss of fur and skin sores. DeGange was quoted having said:

“We took biopsies in ’99 and couldn’t establish a causative agent for the hair loss then, but now we have this unexplained mortality event going on with seals and they haven’t been successful in figuring out what caused the seal deaths. Is it just a matter of coincidence or is it related? We don’t know.”

Back in December of 2011, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced an “unusual mortality event” after an unusual number of ringed seals were discovered on Alaska’s Arctic coast. The dead and dying seals showed similar symptoms as the bears with skin lesions and hair loss. Both Canada and Russia were later witness to their own batch of unexplainable seal deaths.

In the past two weeks, 33 bears were checked for the fur loss condition and nine of the polar bears appeared to be afflicted by the unknown ailment. Currently, the bears do not seem to be any worse off than those without the condition, as there has yet to have been any recorded mortalities attributed to the unknown condition.

The leading suspect in the flight attendants (no pilots reporting it- the story only mentions flight attedants? That would rule out envoronmental factors like radiation exposure) is a chemical:
http://hairlossgeeks.com/contaminated-flight-attendants-uniforms-of-alaska-airlines-causes-hair-loss-and-rashes/

Quoting union sources, King5 reports that the uniform made by TwinHill may be contaminated with tributyl phosphate. The toxic solvent is a chemical used in manufacturing synthetic textile.

Fukushima? Is that the best you can do?

There's way better conspiracy theories that can be connected to this. Chemtrails are the clear winner. Plus, it's Alaska! HAARP!

Since it is just the flight attendents , my guess , would be the uniforms , just me , but no way I am wearing anything that makes my hair fall out , or gives lesions ......

The reactions are going away- perhaps whatever is in the fabric is being washed away. I would run mine through the washer a few times myself.

How the hell is Fukushima a conspiracy theory? Lol.

Hey guys, apparently Fukushima never happened. I better stop smoking so much weed.

Solar Flames? GAMMA, XRAY, radiation @ 35,000 to 45,000 feet... has any extrapolated the data of what routes, frequencies in flying, dates/times, locations etc? Higher latitude stationed and flown flight crews need their data collected first. Pilots & Co-Pilots experience the same?

The idea that Fukushima released, is still releasing, or will soon release massively larger quantities of radioactive material than reported in any reputable source is definitely a conspiracy theory. And it's becoming a popular one.

Lol. Go ahead and believe your conspiracy theory. Leave the talk of reality to people who are capable of it. Go do some research.

I don't think even Zippy would argue that there isn't more coming from Fukushima than has been reported by the MSM. Seriously.

More radiation released than TEPCO admits is not at all a conspiracy theory.

Enough to cause radiation sickness on the other side of the Pacific, but only in a specific group of flight attendants who work for a single company? Laughably bad conspiracy theory. Chemtrail class.
