Officer shoots dog in NW Miami-Dade, according to police

A dog was shot Tuesday by police in Northwest Miami-Dade County.
The shooting happened in the 600 block of Northwest 128th Court, according to Miami-Dade police. Police said the dog was shot at by an officer.
WSVN Fox7 reported that the dog was a Dutch Shepherd. WSVN said that, at the time of the shooting, about 6 p.m., the dog’s owner wasn’t home and the dog was outside. A concerned neighbor, WSVN said, called police.
No other information about what happened right before the shooting was available Tuesday night.
Police were investigating what happened.
