Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Thomas Massie in Kentucky
Massie's Dedication to Liberty and Limited Government Will Make Him an Important Ally for the RLC in the House of Representatives

WASHINGTON, DC - The Republican Liberty Caucus is pleased to announce the endorsement of Thomas Massie in the Republican Primary in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District. In a year with a record number of new candidates, Massie stands out for his clear positions in support of limited government, fiscal responsibility and individual liberty.

Kentucky Republican Liberty Caucus State Coordinator Greg Jent commented that "Thomas Massie embraces the principles of the Republican party with his emphasis on smaller, limited government which leaves the citizens free to build a better America unfettered by the restraints of burdensome taxation and the mountain of regulation that weighs down small businesses across the country. Because of his commitment to liberty and to the vision of our nation that our forefathers put forth we are proud to endorse the true Conservative candidate for U.S. Congress from Kentucky's 4th District, Thomas Massie"

“When we were reviewing candidates this Spring, Thomas Massie immediately stood out as having the right combination of strong principles and electability to take his campaign all the way to victory," said RLC National Chairman Dave Nalle. "Massie represents the new direction of American politics, with personal integrity, a dedication to the best interests of the people and a firm belief in constitutionally limited government. He is exactly the kind of Representative we need to send to DC to work with our 2010 endorsees like Justin Amash (MI) and Ron Paul (TX)."

Following on the election of more than two-dozen RLC endorsees to the House and Senate in 2010, the RLC has set a goal of doubling that number in the 2012 election. With a larger core of newly elected, principled representatives in Washington we can swing the debate away from the big government status quo and towards putting the best interests of the people first. Our allies in Congress were fighting and uphill battle last year, but with an extraordinarily strong slate of new candidates nationwide we plan to send them the reinforcements they need in 2013.

Grassroots Republicans are demanding leaders who live up to the principles of the party. We are no longer content to sit idly by and accept the dictates of an out of control government. We demand the restoration of our liberties and real accountability, and we will keep voting out complacent and unresponsive office holders until they get the message.
