It was this documentary that I first saw Karen and was before I even knew she was running for Congress; what she had said resonated with me immediately. If we don't stand next to people like her who go against the status quo and represent the very things that we wish to accomplish then we will have lost and done a great injustice to those, like Karen, who have taken the burden carrying this movement on their backs.
