Many of the insiders are but the super vast majority of run-of-the-mill conservatives are desperate to beat Obama. They're good people that just have been led astray by the media mafia dons.

This primary year is a lot different than '08 though. It was much more competitive this time around because it's actually plausible the GOP could win. Pretty much everyone knew that no Republican was going to win after the mess Bush made of things.

Should I put this text in a image or is this okay?

Also, do you have a link for the source?

Sources

The very good Washington Post's Campaign Finance Explorer:

The New York Times' Money Race here:

And CNN Election Center 2008/2012 for the votes by state.

I have used opensecrets.org to compare McCain/Obama campaign spendings in Q3 and Q4 2008 (McCain $223m, Obama $462m).

Yeah, but the dollar in 2012 is worth less then half of the dollar in 2008 - so McCain actually spent more.

"Good" in people is subjective. They can call themselves conservative all they want, it does not change the fact that they support another 4 years of establishment rules; Romney is a essentially Obama with a different brand. If things should fall apart, we need to call them out and point out that all responsibility fall on them instead of us.

One thing i'd be interested to see is how much purchasing power the dollar has lost in the last 4 years... i'm sure it isn't 77% but i'm also sure this hasn't been adjusted for inflation.

While it still proves the point Romney stands 0 chance (although it should be noted McCain was neck and neck with him until the economy collapsed) it is also not considering what the difference in dollar values is from now to then.

To use deflation/inflation to compare you'd need to know how much and of what type of advertising was used to determine if the cost of say a billboard or 30 second comercial "cost" more or less relaitive to 2008

CPI-U (urban) was:

2008: 4.9%
2009: -1.3%
2010: 1.1%
2011: 3.9%

No where near 77%

Thanks.

The high end is 73mil (which still seems impossibly small to me but it is what it is)

Romney stands no chance, we all know it, we've argued it to the dopes and they don't want to listen.

Good point. Here we go:

30s commercial CPM
2003 24.6
2004 27.7
2005 26.0
2006 28.1
2007 34.5
2008 27.7
2009 30.3
2010 26.8
2011 28.0
2012 32.1

Apparently, Romney's $ bought him much, much more media coverage than McCain.

Being objective here, Romney has more of an appeal to liberals and moderates due to his Romneycare. That's why you see polls of him topping Obama in some polls right now. There were very few, if any polls that had McCain beating Obama during the whole election season.
