"Ron Paul's not going to be vice president, and he's not going to get a plank in the platform that Romney doesn't want."

Considering this is the last sentence of the article, I wouldn't say what they're feeling is "fear".

I also disagree with a notion of "they".
The media, like the RNC, made a calculation.
On one hand they have a party regular with national name recognition and great hair.
On the other hand they have an old moonbat who stutters and wears bad shoes.
Nobody's afraid because they know that the American Idol watching public eats up whatever shit sandwich the Ministry of Truth's collective laziness can manage to offer.

They're reporting on the delegate strategy because
a) there isn't anything else going on in the election yet
b) they're covering their own asses.
They realize at this point that when they call the vote on the convention floor, they're going to get a lot of names other than Romney.
They're simply getting the jump on this. It's been like 20 years since anyone got significant votes at the convention, so they're preparing the public for it.

But every single article still poisions the well. They're still actually confident Paul won't get anywhere.
When we see an article from FOX or CNN that admits to the public "Hey we reran the numbers and Romney actually has a serious problem", then we'll know they're scared.

How about the Gingrich guy at the end? "Paul's not going to get anything (pampered) Romney doesn't want." It's this kind of setiment that is adding fuel to the revolution and the ousting of state party chairman's. Puckers!

There is ONLY one way to react to this - WIN MORE DELEGATES!
