I believe it was a pseudonym needed to register the domain... it really means nothing.

Back on topic though... our domain expires in :

I think they give him one month after expiration to still renew. But yea I guess they probably wouldn't release it back on the open market considering all the traffic.

I can't believe it's been 5 freaking years. I've been on this forum for the entirety of my mid 20s. And I've only ever met like 0.1% of you. Very strange, this world we live in.

The domain is likely on auto-renew. Plus the author likely privatizes the domain that way only people with legitimate gripes can contact the moderator beyond methods given on the forum.

Well it is public info anyone can look up. You can register the site anonymously for like $2 more and I guess Josh didn't see a need to do that. so... I dunno I dont disagree with removing it but just sayin.

Josh just did a Chipin last week. I believe he raised more than goal. I'm sure he's on top of it and I do believe it will auto renew.

He should switch to hostgator for hosting. They are cheaper and ranked higher than go daddy, I believe.

Didn't mean to offend. Its public info.

Even after you edited my op anyone can click on the link thats still there and see what you edited out... and anyone can type:

whois ronpaulforums.com

into their address bar and get the same email and address.

What's your point?

Mine was perhaps we need to send him an email alert. That's why I included it.

I'm sure you have good "moderator" intentions... but I think you're off base on this one.

Did you send one? It would only take one, not 100.

I'm sure the site will be renewed before the expiry date if it's not already on auto-renew.

And sure, the personal information remains available on whois. But did you know that if you make the information more easy to see, there's a greater chance of that personal information being used maliciously?

To be honest, I think the link to whois which has the personal information should also be removed from the original post. The information is still there on the web, but we don't need to plaster it all over the place.

Then again, a dead guy for drug czar is the best idea I've heard in a while.

I own hundreds of domains. I rarely renew them before the day they expire and I have NEVER lost one. So I'm not seeing the big deal. The domain is probably $8 with one of the widely available godaddy coupons. I doubt anyone is in need.

Also I certainly wouldn't publicly discuss using false information for domain registration, though if that is the case, I'm sure anyone who wanted to know would already have looked at and investigated the whois info.

I don't think anyone has discussed that in this thread. If you want to hide your personal details, there is a privacy option to hide that information from public view.

lots of people don't know where to look it up, and it isn't the same as posting it on a trafficked site where people who hate us and plot to dress up as Klansmen and pretend they are us, for example, come. (to quote that one plot we uncovered.)

Guys calm down, just because the domain registration is expiring doesn't mean the site will go down. It's cheap to renew and is likely set to renew automatically. Domain registration =/= hosting, which is obviously a lot more expensive.

Sailingaway is who we should really be watching. She was raised as a mole and is deeply entrenched, like Angelina Jolie's character in "Salt"

Being the obvious infiltrator with high level security clearance that I'm known to be, I gave Josh a tipoff the government is taking over the Internet on 5/10/2012, and based on this, he will let it lapse so he can spend the money on gold before that currency expires worthless as well.

"Last Updated on: 10-May-11"

Completely possible they've renewed it over the last year, and quite likely.

GoDaddy is quite bad... They take advantage of seizing domains and re-selling them for more far too often.

My preferred domain registrar is NameCheap

No. Truthfully, I haven't said a thing. I've alway been more of a "maven" than a "connector". I'd expect someone with a public email address would have filtering to only accept private messages or would have an inbox packed full. Secondly, I thought this was a "business address" and "business email" as one would normally register a domain, and not "personal information". And third... I thought before I bothered people with more important things to do with something that might be trivial or on "auto renew"... I'd run it past the board; hopefully someone with more common access to the owner would usher the message along. I'm glad to see that one of us has PM'ed the owner. I guess that's what I was looking for.
