If we were at war and Ron Paul were Commander in Chief I would definitely enlist.

I'm not entirely sure, but I'd consider it, which is definitely more than I could say about what I would do with the current administration.

It's "enlist" not "inlist". I would not enlist in the armed-forces again unless there was an attack on American soil by an actual army. I have already served 4 years - I did my part. If absolutely needed, I would answer the call. Otherwise, now that my debt has been repaid, I'll enjoy my life and sleep-easy knowing that I served my country.

I would if they let me. My poor vision has stopped me from being eligible to.

I'm too old, they won't take me.
That was not a Poll option.

The only way I would join the military under any president, is if we were under a direct attack by a foreign army. In that case, I would be right up front killing the bad guys and putting their heads on the top of poles. :D

I would defend the constitution to the death. Does that answer your question :) I will not fight for corporatism though so I will not enlist under any other president.

I don't believe in having a regular army, I prefer a militia based military delegated to each state, and I think that gun ownership should be required. No one ever invades Switzerland because of this kind of a policy.

I'm already in the Army Reserve, and I'd much rather have Ron Paul as my commander in chief!

I think that real media attention would be garnered with re-enlistment commitments from those who have left the military.

If we had an true threat that Ron Paul said we need to stop/defend, I would be there in a heart beat.

He's the only candidate I trust.

I would not, under any president, short of the country being directly attacked. As Ron Paul points out, we're not in danger of that happening any time soon.

Serving in RP's military would actually empower me to honor my oath to uphold and protect the Constitution from enemies, both foreign and domestic. However, at my age and physical condition the basic training would probably kill me.

Maybe I should get away from the computer and go for a walk handing out RP Literature.

Ron Paul is the first politician I've seen that wasn't using the war for political gain. It would be difficult not to enlist. I've wanted to help the kids fighting for a long time but haven't been able to because I figured out the neocons almost immediately.

Enlisting in the military means you surrender your judgement to a higher power for the "common good". This has been a tool of every despot, dictator, and king since recorded history. From the Spartans to the Gestapo, military movements are only successful because some people are willing to give up their individual judgement to others.

NO WAR IS EVER POSSIBLE without those who are willing to give up their individual judgement and freedom and allow themselves to be controlled by others.

IF we were ever attacked on our own soil, I would be out there with my trusty weapons and those I PERSONALLY chose as my leaders, or I would be fighting the battle alone. NEVER would I surrender my judgement to ANY organization.

Remember, if EVERYBODY stands up for their own judgement, wars are impossible. Don't tell me that's a pollyanna attitude; if you didn't believe in your own judgement, you wouldn't be supporting the good Doctor!

Not only would I, but I'm actually considering enlisting when we wins because of the pro-american foreign policy we'll have gone back to.

I don't know where you were on September the 11th.

I've thought about it. In one of his speeches about conscription, he said something to the tune of if the military actually followed through with the benefits it promises, more people and better quality people would enlist voluntarily, eliminating any need for selective service or a draft. He would strengthen our military like we've never seen before, so I'd seriously consider it.

If there was a war in which I believed I would enlist, but I don't see Ron getting us into one, so I said I woud not enlist under any pres.

I've thought about it before, and under a Ron Paul presidency, i would likely join up.

If we were at war and Ron Paul were Commander in Chief I would definitely enlist.

If our nation were under direct assault, I would don a uniform again (or not) and fight to the death. At 46 I'm not going anywhere. I did my part almost 30 years ago.

If President Paul asked me to go, I would go back into the Army.

I don't know if there is another human being alive that could get me to re-enlist.

I have my own personal ambitions, so I see no reason for me to enlist in peacetime. If I felt the country was in danger and in need of more servicemen, I think I would enlist. This is regardless of President, but the decision would be a lot easier under Paul as Commander in Chief.

I would, I am a little too old now though.
