TV station KOAT sent cameras along on a recent drug raid in Los Lunas, New Mexico. This raid was to find marijuana.

Every time I see an image like this, I’m reminded of a blog post from conservative writer Michael Ledeen a few years ago. Ledeen was using a series of photos from a recent drug bust in Iran to point out what a totalitarian state it is. The post is no longer available online, but I excerpted it at the time on the Reason blog.

Terrifying pictures, to be sure. For me, the most revealing thing about them is that the police feel obliged to wear masks while conducting a drug bust in the capital. tells you something about the relationship between the people and the state.

Suiting up in military gear and "serving warrants" on their neighbors.

Eventually the brainwashing will wear off and the fact that they whored themselves out will sink in.

I just wonder how many of them are man enough to admit to themselves that stormtrooping their neighbors isn't the right thing to do.

Dollars well spent! Do you know how much that shit is worth in savings to society?
In that one bag there are probably 10 accounts of domestic violence, 5 accounts of 'gang banging', 3 accounts of trafficking in minors and a rape!

I certainly don't see any mass resignations or police union protests over this shit.

In fact, every time I hear a police agency speaking about this, it is always in favor of more SWAT, more tanks, more grenades, more full auto rifles.

Ya' gotta wonder what the straw that breaks the camels back is going to be..

I'd bet we're getting close to the point that 1/2 of American households have either a family member or a close friend who has been subject to these "drug-warriors"..

Back last election I thought to myself that Ron Paul is probably the last peaceful chance of stopping this BS.

I really hope things change for the better, I have a feeling it's not going to be pretty if things keep going as they are.
