Yes , a few years ago , there was a HBO series about Atlantic City during that time , I was watching it one night and this was mentioned , interesting.

Funny thing was right before I put on a 14 hour RP rock and comedy show in 08 I found a Warren G Harding Medallion in my rear parking lot.

In the sense that he could win ~6% of the bound delegates and win the nomination at the convention despite the fact that somebody else was billed as the frontrunner? Yes.
