she's just a more objective liberal. doesnt completely ignore facts. like the way she explained the delegate strategy a couple months ago. i think she actually does research unlike most of the usual msm narrative(propaganda).

Objective journalism is Ben Swann, Rachel Maddow = trying to keep ratings from going further in the tank.

The ONLY reason that Maddow gives a rat's ass about Paul and mentions him is because he is the only and last chance of siphoning off votes from the GOP. She hates liberty and everything the Constitution stands for as much if not more than Obama. She wants to paint everyone who does not support our president as a woman bashing, homophobic, racist. I don't know how anyone who supports Ron Paul can sit and listen to her liberal, socialistic and self-righteous dribble for more than five minutes. Jmo

Hey if ratings help Rachel Maddow to be an "objective" journalist then that is the free market of ideas at work and we are winning. If the other analysts realize that she consistently rates higher than the others, they might figure out why. Then we would get even more coverage because people realize we watch the networks/shows that treat our candidate fairly.

AJ has great interviews. Ya ya, sometimes he interrupts the guests too much, but overall he lets them make their point, unlike the MSM, which rarely even gives them a chance at an interview.

I don't like it either, but I've watched some clips of AJ with Ron and Rand that were pretty good on youtubes. I haven't watched a whole show, he haas a bombastic style like Limbaugh or Olberman that I don't prefer. But he does get some stories first. Also some junk, but that goes with putting it out first, likely.

Wow. I'm glad *somebody* here 'gets it'.

Comon, people. This shit is *chess*, not checkers.

She is self-interested, as she should be. As we all are. Let's give her ratings when she praises Paul, and do what we do best when she or anyone else pulls bullshit tactics.

Reward her with ratings. Others will catch on. Her and others' support will help, not hurt. We could use all the media attention we can get. Spread it around to your liberal buddies, take advantage of it.

We have to break out of this circle-jerk, vacuum, preaching-to-the-choir mentality that some of us have...

And oh, yeah - TOOOOOOOBZ or it didn't happen! ;)

Yeah, I'm not going to diss her when she gives us coverage I like, but she HAS been unfair to both Ron and Rand, and since she went to the White House, she seems to have much more turned to the dark side in terms of cheerleading Obama. However, she did, before that, put out the only good mainstream (?) media piece on Obama institutionalizing indefinite preventative detention. She is smart and she is witty, when she uses her powers for good.... :p

If it weren't for the booing and lack of explanation that it was an independent Senator who had beat the GOP senator candidate, coming to the GOP convention to endorse one candidate over another (still not ok to boo, but there were more than just us there not happy to see her), I'd put it on the front page.

Her book is currently number one on the NY Times bestseller list, and I am sure RP would agree with a good portion of it. Also, I recently was watching CSPAN and she was at some event with Rahm, and she spoke well of RP. Basically saying he could potentially take votes from President Obama. She brought RP up, was not asked about him or anything. I like her.

What makes you think this? Gingrich and Santorum are lining up behind Romney, without a peep from RP's campaign. Instead of using Santorum and Gingrich quotes to draw in their supporters, the RP campaign is running an attack ad in Texas with Santorum and Gingrich in it.

The fact this isn't on Fox News, which will NOT help us reach the base we need to reach in Texas. California? Maybe. Rachel Maddow is not one you share with Republican base, it's as simple as that.

The coverage of Paul by Maddow is just for publicity of her show and for making Obama look as good as possible. This is NBC we are talking about here, as well as her being an openly gay, pro-women, liberal in all aspects of the term.

But I'm not complaining... Any positive coverage is good coverage.

I would like to know where she came up with 19 delegates for Mittens and 17 for Ron Paul. We have over a 2/3 majority at the convention in Louisiana. I don't see Mittens getting to 19 when he has 5 now.

Anyway, I've always liked Maddow. Out of the three major networks, there isn't a more objective reporter out there. Sure, she obviously has an agenda, but doesn't necessarily let that get in the way of reporting facts. I'd take her any day of the week over O'Reilly, Hannity, O'Donnell, Schultz, Morgan or John King.

I liked the discussion between Rachel and Rand. I wish Rand had been a bit more directly, but in the end, he got his points clear, and she got hers. That's fine. I'm with Rand, private business should have the right to discriminate even though its immoral. Its their choice.

Why does Maddow say that Mitt will get 19 delegates out of Louisiana? I thought since we won 74% those people would pick the majority of delegates?

BenIsForRon

Maddow's OK on some things, but she is neck deep in a century of progressive thought, so she loses her objectivity when someone has a position that goes against that thinking (Rand says some anti-discrimination laws may be unconstitutional).

Her heart is in the right place, her head isn't.
